Disable Package

You can disable the package individually in NextGen® Background Business Processor. Highlight the package or packages in the Package List. Do one of the following: Right-click and select Disable from the short-cut menu. Select Disable from Packages menu on the NextGen® Background Business Processor main menu bar. Open a Package

To open a package, do one of the following: In the Package List, right-click and select Open from the short-cut menu. Select Open from the Packages menu on the NextGen® Background Business Processor main menu bar. The Package Properties window opens. Parent topic: Create Packages

Enable Package

The NextGen® Background Business Processor enables all packages by default. A package cannot run unless it is enabled. If a package is enabled, but it has no schedules that are enabled, it cannot run. Likewise, if a package is enabled, but each of its individual jobs are disabled, it cannot run. Highlight the package or packages in the Package List. Do one of the following: Right-click and select Enable from the short-cut menu. Copy a Package

You can make a copy of an existing package. The copy can provide a shortcut to the task of creating a new package. Do one of the following: In the Package List, right-click and select Copy from the short-cut menu. Select Copy from the Packages menu on the NextGen® Background Business Processor main menu bar. The Package Properties window displays with settings that are identical to the properties for the package you are copying except for the Package name. The NextGen® Background Business Processor inserts "Copy of" before the name of the copied package. Make necessary adjustments to the package settings (if any) and save. View the Package List

Access the Package List tab on the NextGen® Background Business Processor main window to view a list of all the current NextGen® Background Business Processor packages. You can also view the status and scheduled run time for each package in the list. You can filter the list of packages by server by select a server from the Server drop-down list. The default setting for this drop-down list is << all servers >>. When you select a server from the Server drop-down list, only those packages associated with the selected server display. The Refresh list setting located on the bottom left of the NextGen® Background Business Processor window determines how frequently the NextGen® Background Business Processor updates the package information in the list. When you right-click on a package item, it displays a list of options that can be performed on the package list. You can quickly create a one-time package schedule for the NextGen® Background Business Processor application to process immediately. Highlight the package in the Package List. Do one of the following: Right-click and select Queue Now from the short-cut menu. Select Queue Now from the Packages menu on the NextGen® Background Business Processor main menu bar.
