Before you begin
- Verify if details for Notification 'From' address exist. Create a sender's service account if it does not exist.
- Ensure that the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is turned off for the sender's service account in the exchange server with the help of an administrator.
NextGen® Background Business Processor email encryption ensures that the data transported from a public network or the internal network is always protected. You can configure Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption in NextGen® Background Business Processor emails. Use of email encryption within NextGen® Background Business Processor is optional.
- Open NextGen® Background Business Processor.
- Select .
The BBP E-mail Settings window opens.
- In Notification 'From' address, enter the email address that the NextGen® Background Business Processor sends encrypted emails from.
- In Default Notification 'To' address(es), enter the email address of the default recipient or recipients who receive the NextGen® Background Business Processor email notifications.
- In SMTP server name, enter your company's email server. You can coordinate this with your IT staff.
Note: The SMTP exchange server must be configured to allow communication on port 587.
- From the SMTP authentication type, select Basic authentication.
- To test the settings you entered, select Test E-mail.
A message appears indicating that the email will be encrypted.
Note: If the email is not encrypted, a message appears indicating that the Multi-Factor Authentication is turned on and that the email will not be encrypted.
- Select OK.
The default recipient receives a test email message.
