Add Lab Tests in the Order Module

OpenNextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient and create an encounter. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Select All template, open Title X 2.0 template. On the Title X 2.0 template, expand the Testing and Results panel. Click the Orders Module link. The Order Module window opens. In the Orders Summary tab, click Labs. From the New menu, select Lab Order. The Create New Lab Order window for the selected patient opens. In Performing Entity, select Labcorp. In the Select Tests section, click Search All. The Search Tests window opens. In Test description,enter HIV, and then click Find. Select a relevant option from the search result, and then click OK. Click Save. The ordered lab details become available on the Title X 2.0 template and Order Management. Pare

Update Patient Title X Information

On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, select All. Select Title X 2.0, and then click OK. The Title X 2.0 template opens. Title X Template Review the patient’s Title X 2.0 details. To qualify the encounter to be part of Title X / FPAR 2.0 report, you can select the Family planning encounter check box. Configure Resulted Lab Tests

The configured lab result appears in the Result Details picklist for Order Management. OpenNextGen® Enterprise EHR. From theFilemenu, selectSystem \ Practice Template. TheSelect Templatewindow opens. Select Configuration Home, and then click OK. The Custom DB Picklist template opens. Select Coded lab order result DB picklist. Click Configure. The Custom DBPicklist Setup window, the grid displays the existing code system, code value, and result. To add the code system and its value, do the following: Click Add New List Item. The Add button is enabled. To add a code system, enter the code type in the Code System field. To add the result details, enter the appropriate value in the Result field. To add code value, enter the numeric value in the Code Value field. Click Add. The added lab result details appear in the grid. To update a record, select and edit the record, and then click Update. View Lab Results

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the necessary access rights in System Administrator for the Orders Module. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the results of a patient's laboratory tests. Additionally, you can open the Orders Module and view the order details associated with a result. For more information on the Orders Module, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Orders Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the Quick Buttons panel, select Lab Results.The Review Patient Results window opens displaying a report of all completed laboratory tests in a flow sheet format, that includes the date and time of the specimens associated with an order collected,test name, and result for the test name. Viewing Test Results from a Medical Records Template

The Trend Results order control field on a Medical Records template displays a Results view from the Orders module that enables you to: Review all lab test results for the current patient. Graph the values for tests that were repeated for the patient. Link to web resources for patient education, clinical decision support, and provider reference. You can display all results (default filter) or use practice-level or private user filters to view only results that meet selected criteria.
