View and Reactivate Deleted Procedure Groups

NextGen® Enterprise EHR

Open the
Manage Procedure Groups and Codes
practice template.
Select the
Show Removed
filter option.
Only the deleted procedure groups appear in the grid.
To reactivate a removed grid row, select it in the grid and click the
Activate
button.
Click the
Save
button
from the toolbar.
Click the
Close
button
from the toolbar to return to your regular workflow.

Open the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes Practice Template
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. On the Select Template window, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All to see a complete list of practice templates. To access the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template, do one of the following: Double-click Manage Procedure Groups and Codes. Create a Procedure Group
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template. In the Add Procedure Group section, Procedure Group field, type the new group name. Click the Description field to manually create a value. If required, select the Restrict Code option. Click Add/Update. The new Procedure Group displays in the grid. Note: If you have selected a grid row and want to enter another new group, click Clear. Click Save from the toolbar. Click Close from the toolbar to return to your regular workflow. View Restricted Procedure Codes
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template. Select the Show Restricted filter. Only restricted procedure codes appear in the grid. Remove a New Procedure Group
You are not able to remove any procedure group packaged with your version of NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template. Select the row in the grid for the procedure group to be removed. The Remove button is enabled. Click Remove to delete the procedure group and the associated description. Click Save from the top toolbar. Click Close from the toolbar to return to your regular workflow. Update an Existing Procedure Group
The Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template grid is filled with default content for the applied version associated with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. You cannot remove any procedure groups that exist in the pre-packaged content. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template. Select the existing Procedure Group from the grid. In the Add Procedure Group section, type the name of the Procedure Group that is different from the existing name and the Description without selecting the Restrict Code check box. Do one of the following actions: Click Clear to remove the data without saving. Click Add/Update to enter the new values into the grid. Click Save from the toolbar. Click Close from the toolbar to return to your regular workflow. Note: You may also add or remove codes or service categories to existing procedure groups. Assign Procedure Codes or Service Categories to a Group
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template. Select any existing procedure group from the grid. In the Assign Procedure Code(s)/Service Category to Group section, set Type to a Procedure Code or Service Category. Enter a search term in the Description or Code fields. Click Search. Select the row that you want to add from the Search Results grid. Click the right-arrow button to include the row in the Assign Procedure Codes/Service Category grid. Note: You can move any of the assigned rows back to Search Results grid if needed. Procedure groups set as Restrict Code can only be associated with a single CPT code. For such groups, the ability to search by the Service Category option is disabled. Click Save from the toolbar. Click Close from the toolbar to return to your regular workflow.
