Set Up Disclosure Statements for SAMHSA

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All. A list of practice level templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and then select OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. In the SAMHSA CFR 42 section, select the form of disclosure statement for documents and reports to display. SAMHSA section in the Practice Configuration template Selecting either of the disclosure statements also configures the Record contains substance use disorder information check box to appear on the encounter level templates. Select Save and Close at the top of the template. Documenting Patient Encounters for Dermatology Visits

The Dermatology User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine provides the guidelines for conducting a comprehensive patient encounter in the Dermatology specialty. During Dermatology patient encounters, you can use various features that are designed to streamline your workflows and improve your data captures. The intake staff checks in the patient on the Intake and Histories templates. If required, the intake staff can review the patient's details documented in the previous encounters on the Home Page template. The provider can choose to review the patient's historical information documented in the previous encounters on the Home Page template or review the Intake Note document generated by the intake staff. After reviewing the information, the provider documents the patient examination on the GET and SOAP templates. The provider completes the visit and selects the E&M code on the Finalize template. Care Coordination Home Page

The Care Coordination home page provides a focal point for patient care information gathered from all members of the patient care team and available for review by those team members. Using the home page, you can: Identify the members of the patient care team and define their roles. You can also make changes to the team as needed. The Care Coordination home page is the only location where team members can be defined and the definition modified. When you define an intervention, you must identify a team member who is responsible for that intervention. Enter, review and modify referral information. Identify barriers to care such as patient disabilities and other issues that impact the patient’s ability to comply with a nursing care plan. Review and modify the current nursing care plan and track nursing care plan progress. Log and review all patient-related communications, including phone calls, emails, and text messages. Documenting Obstetrics Visits Encounters

The Obstetrics User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine is intended for Obstetrics medical professionals, such as providers, nurses, and front office staff, responsible for documenting and processing patient information. You can use the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates to document encounters on the OB Prenatal- Initial and OB Postpartum visit encounters.
