Documenting Patient Encounters for Dermatology Visits

The Dermatology User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine provides the guidelines for conducting a comprehensive patient encounter in the Dermatology specialty. During Dermatology patient encounters, you can use various features that are designed to streamline your workflows and improve your data captures. The intake staff checks in the patient on the Intake and Histories templates. If required, the intake staff can review the patient's details documented in the previous encounters on the Home Page template. The provider can choose to review the patient's historical information documented in the previous encounters on the Home Page template or review the Intake Note document generated by the intake staff. After reviewing the information, the provider documents the patient examination on the GET and SOAP templates. The provider completes the visit and selects the E&M code on the Finalize template. You can use the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates to document encounters on the Family Planning visit type. Documenting Urology Patient Encounters

The Urology User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine is intended for Urology medical professionals, such as providers, nurses, and front office staff, responsible for documenting and processing patient information. You can use NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to document patient encounters in the Urology specialty. The Urology office and virtual visit workflows are documented on the following templates. Initial Prenatal Visit

The navigation tabs display based on which Obstetrics visit type. You can only change or select visit types from the Home or the Intake template. When you select the OB Prenatal – Initial or OB Prenatal visit type, the following navigation tabs display: Intake Gestational Age Histories Education Prenatal Detail SOAP Checkout Note: The above navigation tabs also display during nurse visits and subsequent prenatal visits. However, the Office Visit – OB, Virtual Visit Telephone, and Virtual Visit Video visit types display all the above navigation tabs except Gestational Age; the Chart Abstraction, Chart Update - OB, No-Show, and Consult visit types display all the above navigation tabs except Checkout. OB Provider Workflow

The provider workflow for an Initial Prenatal visit involves reviewing the information documented by the intake staff and proceeding with the patient encounter by documenting information on the Prenatal Detail and SOAP templates. On the first visit, open the Gestational Age template must be opened and verify the due date. Reviewing Obstetrics Details by Providers A provider can start the visit by reviewing the patient information documented during the previous patient encounters on the Home Page template for the Obstetrics specialty. Obstetrics Home Page Template You can review the historical information of the patient on the Home Page - Obstetrics template.
