Attach Document or Image to Cardiac Procedures

You can attach an encounter document, a scanned document, or an image to a cardiac procedure using the See attached document field on the procedure template. When you attach a document or an image, the Attachment column in the Cardiac Procedures grid on the Cardiac Procedure panel changes to Y. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Cardiology Procedures template by clicking the Procedures tab. On the Cardiology Procedures template, click the Cardiac Procedures panel. Select a category in the left pane and select a procedure from the list. The corresponding procedure template opens. Enter the procedure details. Select See scanned document. The Scanned Document/Image window opens. Select an item to attach to the procedure and click OK. To attach a different document, do the following. Click the CI button . Cardiac Procedure Attachments

You can attach an image or a document to the cardiology procedure template. The See scanned document check box on the selected procedure template enables you to attach one of the following to the cardiology procedures. A scanned document An encounter document An image When you attach a document or image to a cardiac procedure template, the Attachment indicator in the Cardiac Procedures grid changes to Y. The Cardiac Procedures panel provides the following viewing options. Launch Template opens the procedure template regardless of the value in the Attachment column. Note: The corresponding template opens for procedures with an N indicator in the Attachment column. Add Procedures to Cardiac Problem Lists

You can add procedures to cardiac problem lists on the Cardiology procedures template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Cardiology Procedures template, click the Procedures tab. Select the Add to Cardiac Problem List check box. Cardiology Procedures Panel In the Cardiology Procedures grid, select the procedure to add to cardiac problems. Click Add. Manage Procedures on the Procedures List

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Click the Procedures panel. In the text field above the Procedure column, type a procedure name. You can enter up to 40 characters. To select a template, click the list above the Template Name column and select a template. To add the procedure to the grid, click Add. To rearrange the items in the Procedures list in alphabetical order, select Sort Alphabetically. To remove a procedure, select a row in the grid, and click Delete. Remove a New Procedure Group

You are not able to remove any procedure group packaged with your version of NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Manage Procedure Groups and Codes practice template. Select the row in the grid for the procedure group to be removed. The Remove button is enabled. Click Remove to delete the procedure group and the associated description. Click Save from the top toolbar. Click Close from the toolbar to return to your regular workflow. Delete a Procedure from a Patient Chart

You can delete a previously added procedure as long as it is not assigned to a locked encounter. Note: The deleted procedures are displayed on the Deleted Items window. Note: When you delete a procedure that is linked to an implantable device, the procedure information continues to display in the implantable device record until the procedure link is removed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. On the Encounter History tab, select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Top Toolbar, select . The Procedures module window opens. In the procedures list, select the procedure to delete. Select Delete. If the procedure was entered in error, in the Delete window, select the This item was Entered in Errorand then select Yes. The item is deleted from the procedures list. All deleted procedures are displayed in the Deleted Items window. To open the Deleted Items window, on the Procedures window, select Deleted Items. Parent topic: Procedures
