Record Cancer Staging Details

  1. Open the Histories - Dermatology template.
  2. In the Skin Cancer Log panel, in the Staging section, click Add.
    The Cancer Details template opens.

  3. In the Cancer Type section, do the following:
    1. Select the cancer type as Primary or Secondary.
    2. Do one of the following:
      • To enter the details in all the fields, select Enable free text check box.
      • To select the options from the respective picklist for each field, clear Enable free text.
    3. Select a diagnosis or click Add common assessment to select a diagnosis.
    4. Click Cancer Type / Site and select the cancer type from the Cancer Type Details template.
    5. Enter or select the Status and Behavior value from the picklist.
    6. Enter or select the Histology and Laterality value from the picklist.
  4. In the Cancer Staging section, do the following:
    1. If staging details are not available, select the appropriate option:
      • Staging pending
      • Insufficient data
      • No staging system
    2. If the staging details are available, verify and update the date and time of cancer staging.
    3. Select the clinical stage of cancer from the picklist and document the clinical information related to staging, for example, tumor, node, and metastasis.
    4. Select the pathological stage of cancer from the picklist and document the pathological information related to staging, for example, tumor, node, metastasis, heritable, and prognostic risk score.
    5. To add clinically staged by details, select the details from Clinical staged by picklist.
    6. To add pathologically staged by details, select the details from Pathologic staged by picklist.
  5. In the Staging Detail panel, document the appropriate details as per the type of cancer.
  6. Click Save & Close.
    You are returned to the Histories template.
