Dermatology Home Page Template

The practice can customize the panels displayed on the Home Page - Dermatology template. The following table describes the panels on the template.

PanelDescription
Skin Cancer LogDisplays the patient's details related to skin cancer. Skin Cancer Log has the following grids.
  • Treatment History
  • Staging
You can click Add in the Treatment History grid to open the Skin Cancer History Log - Derm template. You can add the pathology results that indicate the presence of skin cancer on the Skin Cancer History Log - Derm template. The pathology results are available on the Pathology Results template. You can open the Pathology Results template using Path Results in the navigation bar.

You can click the Add button in the Staging grid to open the Cancer Type template.

SummaryLists the patient's HPI, treatment summary, medications, allergies, lab details, procedures, skin cancer history, problem list, assessment history, communication history, patient provider details, cancer type, chemotherapy details, cancer staging details, pathology orders, and procedure billing details from the previous encounters. You can click each entry in the panel to view the corresponding summary in the grid. Some entries have filtering options.
Assessment History Lists the patient's assessment details.
History SummaryDisplays the patient history documented by the intake staff and provider on the Intake, Histories, and SOAP templates. The categories in the left pane in the grid enable you to view and document the associated data. You can add a diagnostic study created in the current encounter with a documented result or interpretation to the grid in the Reason for Visit section.
AllergiesLists the allergies associated with the patient.
MedicationsLists the patient's medications documented in the Medications module by the intake staff.
Vital SignsDisplays the patient's height, weight, BMI, and so on. You can manage the vital signs associated with the patient.
OrdersDisplays the details of the patient's orders. You can select the appropriate categories in the left pane to view the corresponding orders.
CommunicationDisplays the summary of the phone calls between the practice and the patient. The details of the communication are documented on the Telephone Call or Telephone Communication template. The badge count in the panel header indicates the number of open items in the communication queue. The Filter field at the top of the grid enables the provider to filter the communication details based on the status. You can select the category from the left pane to filter and review the items by category. The numbers next to the items in the left pane indicate the number of items in the queue.
Patient EducationLists the education documents that have been added to a patient's cart. You can issue these documents to the patient by printing them or by sending them to NextGen® PxP Portal.
