Pre-Procedure Evaluation Panel on the ASC - Anesthesiology Template

The Pre-Procedure Evaluation panel includes the medications and allergy information documented in the ASC - Preprocedure,ASC - Intraprocedure, and ASC - Physician Procedure templates. The Anesthesiologist reviews and adds or updates the medications or allergy details as appropriate. In the Pre-procedure Evaluation panel, you can select the No or Yes option for the Patient remains an appropriate candidate to undergo the planned procedure check box after reviewing the required documented data and entering the sedation details. This indicates whether or not you can consider for any planned sedation for the patient.

Pre-procedure Evaluation

In the Comments field, you can enter any additional pre-procedure evaluation information.

The following options are available at the bottom of the Pre-Procedure Evaluation panel:
  • Normal history and physical - Indicates that the findings are normal.
  • History and physical reviewed, no changes - Indicates that the existing findings are reviewed with no changes.
  • History and physical reviewed, updated - Indicates that the existing findings are reviewed and updated.

After documenting and reviewing the required findings, you need to click the Sign off check box. The system fills the Completed by field automatically with the current user name, and the Date and Time fields auto-populate with the current data and system time.
