Document Family Planning Information in MA Intake Sub-Navigational Link

The Family Planning Intake template is for medical assistants to collect and review Family Planning or Reproductive health-related intake data. To include all documented confidential history on the patient document, select the Include all confidential information in the social history document with patient permission check box. You have to configure the MA Intake sub-navigational link. After the MA Intake sub-navigational link is configured, you can access the Family Planning Intake template by clicking on the MA Intake sub-navigational link. Document Encounters for Family Planning Visits

You can use the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates to document encounters on the Family Planning visit type. You can use the following templates to document the Family Planning Office Visit workflow: Intake Histories SOAP Finalize Checkout Before you begin documenting the Family Planning Office Visit, you can pre-configure certain optional settings for quick access of some templates and features. The Basic Configuration and Setup Procedures section includes instructions to set template preferences, add the required navigational and sub-navigational links, configure task recipients, and customize the reasons for visit. The General Office Visit Workflow section explains some of the common features such as patient information bar, panel control, pre-visit planning template updates, and so on, available in the Family Planning Office Visit template set. Set Up Links

You can use the Framework Content system template to configure the links. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Template Window Select the System tab. In the Show section, select All. A list of templates appear. To open the Framework Content template, double-click Framework Content. Select from the Specialty and Practice lists. In Tabs, do the following: Select from the Template and Visit Type lists. Enter a value in the Caption field. Select a template in the Template field from the list. Select Add. The Tab details are added. In the Tabs grid, select a row. The application lists associated links in the Sub Navigation section. In Sub Navigation , do the following: Select the Tab Name. Enter the caption and template details in the Sub Nav 1Sub Nav 2, Sub Nav 3, and so on. Select Add. A new link is added. Map a Specialty and Template with a Custom Visit Type

Before you begin You must add and map a new visit type using the Visit Type Configuration window. For more information, see Add and Map a Custom Visit Type. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open the Visit Type Configuration window. Select a specialty with which you want to map the custom visit type. Expand the Tabs and Subnavigation panel. In the Tabs section, click Visit Type, and then select a custom visit type from the picklist. To map the templates with the custom visit type, do the following: To map a template to be displayed in the first tab, click the Template list in the Tab 1 column, and then select the required template. For example, select fts_intake. Type the run-time name of the selected template. For example, type Intake. To map another template to be displayed in the second tab, click the Template list in the Tab 2 column, and then select the required template. For example, fts_finalize. Configure Reason for Visits

Use the Reason for Visit section in the Framework Content system template to configure the Reason for Visit items that appear in the Reason for Visit panel on the Intake and SOAP templates that are specific to your practice and specialty. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Framework Content System Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. In the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window appears. On the System tab, under Show, select All. Click Framework Content to open the Framework Content system template. Associate the HPI template to a specialty Click the Specialty field and select an item from the list. This associates the HPI template to that specialty. If applicable, click the Practice and/or Provider fields to select an item from the respective list to map the HPI template to a particular practice or provider. Configuration of Tabs and Links

You can configure the tabs and links in the sub-navigation and tabs sections. You can find the Framework Content links below the navigation tabs on the Framework template set. These are convenient, customizable links that you can configure to open frequently used templates. The defaults for the Framework Template links vary depending on the specialty, visit type, and tab. Tabs and Subnavigation You can use the Tabs section of the Framework Content system template to add, delete or modify the tabs for a specialty and any of its visit types. You can add several visit types for a particular specialty and configure the tabs for each specialty-visit type combination. Configure the Framework Template Tabs You can configure the framework template tabs from the Tabs section.
