Place Selected Orders and Results for Obstetrics Diagnostics
Open the
Prenatal Detail
template, expand the
Diagnostics Studies
panel, and then select
Add
.
The
OB Diagnostics
template opens.
Ensure that a diagnosis is available in the
Today's Assessment
grid.
Select a
Diagnosis study
.
In the
Results/Report
section, do the following:
In
Exam Type
, select the
Transabdominal
or
Transvaginal
option.
Enter the estimated gestational age in
EGA at time of sonogram
.
To select the interpretation of the diagnostic test, select
Interpretation
.
To record the estimated fetal weight in grams, select
EFW
and enter the value.
Note:
You can enter the estimated fetal weight for one fetus.
To enter multiple gestation, slick the
Multiple Gestation
link.
In the
OB Multiple Fetus Notes
window, select the
Fetus
number.
Enter additional fetus details in the
Notes
field.
Select
Add
.
The details are added to the grid.
Select
OK
.
The
Multiple Gestation
link changes to magenta.
Select
Follow Up
.
In the
Follow-up/Disposition
template, select the
follow up
check box.
Select the provider in the
with
field.
Select the
Reason
from the list.
Select
OK
.
To place the order in the Order module, select
Place Order
.
To send the tasks automatically, select the
Send task automatically
check box.
To process the charges, select the
Submit to Superbill
check box.
Select
Save & Close
.
Note:
When you select
Save & Close
without placing the order, a message appears for your confirmation.

Create Orders for Obstetrics Diagnostics
Before you begin Ensure that a diagnosis is added to the Today's assessment grid. Select the Prenatal Detail tab In the Diagnostics Studies panel, select Add. The OB Diagnostics template opens. To add historical orders, select the Historical Study check box in the Orders section. Note: The Date Performed field is mandatory for historical orders. The Billing Diagnosis field, and the Submit to Superbill and Place Order buttons are not required to add historical orders. In the Orders section, select Diagnostic study, select a diagnosis from the list, and then select OK. The Place Order button is enabled. Add the following: To add a modifier, select Modifier 1, and then select a modifier from the list. You can add an additional modifier in Modifier 2. To add the time frame or frequency, select Time frame, and then select a value from the list. To add location details, enter the Location. Open Diagnostic Details
Before you begin Ensure that a diagnosis is available in the Today's Assessment grid. Select the Prenatal Detail tab In the Diagnostics Studies panel, select Add. The OB Diagnostics template opens. In the Today's Assessment grid, select a diagnosis. In the Orders section, select the Diagnostic study field and select a diagnostic study. The selected diagnostic study and the code appears. The Diagnostic Details link appears in the Result details section. Select the Diagnostic Details link. The Diagnostic Details template opens. Diagnostic Details Document Diagnostic Details You can add exam type, estimated gestational age (EGA), estimated fetal weight, and preconfigured diagnostic details for a diagnostic order. Document Diagnostic Details
Select the Prenatal Detail tab To view fetal growth graph, in the Diagnostic Studies panel, select the Fetal Growth Graph link. Diagnostic Studies The Crystal Report Viewer window opens, where you can view graphs of fetal weight versus gestational age, and fetal height versus gestational age from 24 weeks onwards. To view OB Diagnostics template, in Diagnostic Studies panel, select Add. The OB Diagnostics template opens, where you can view and update the Currently Pregnant status, Initial/Working EDD date, EGA age, and diagnoses; track diagnostic test results and order statuses, and process laboratory and diagnostic orders. Create and Configure Obstetrics Diagnostic Details
You can preconfigure the diagnostic study categories, subcategories, result findings, test results, and test units that appear in the Diagnostic Details template in Obstetrics Prenatal Detail. Open the Diagnostic Details Builder template. Note: The default practice is automatically selected. The preconfigured specialty, category, subcategory, findings, and test results for the practice appear in the grid. In the Category and Subcategory Options section, select a specialty from the list or the All specialties option. Note: To clear the values in a particular field, select Cl. To clear all the fields in a section, select Clear All. To add diagnostic groups, select a category. Enter a subcategory, if necessary. Select Add. The selected specialty, category, and subcategory details are added to the grid. Select a record for specialty, category, and subcategory from the Category and Subcategory Options grid. Add Obstetric Diagnostic Documents to Orders
Before you begin To attach a document, a diagnosis order should be available in the Orders section. Select the Prenatal Detail tab In the Diagnostics Studies panel, select Add. The OB Diagnostics template opens. In the Today's Assessment section, select the diagnosis order to add an attachment. In the Orders section, document the order details. Select the See scanned document check box, select the document or scanned image in the Scanned Document/Image window, and then select OK. The file is attached and the name of the attached file appears in the See scanned document field. Select Place Order. The attachment is added to the order. To replace the attached document, do the following: Select the Cl button. Select the See scanned document check box, and then select a document or image. Select Update. Select Save & Close. Overview of Obstetrics Diagnostics
You can do the following through the Diagnostics Studies panel: View the Currently Pregnant status, Initial/Working EDD (estimated due date), and EGA (estimated gestational age). Open the Medication and Immunization templates. Add diagnoses and OB problems to Today's assessment. Record historical orders for gynecologic and obstetrics diagnostic tests. Record the type of examination, Transabdominal or Transvaginal. Select verbal order or needs sign-off and send task automatically. Select obstetrical specialty diagnostic tests and place orders. Record EGA at the time of sonogram, select interpretation, add clinical interpretations, and estimated fetal growth. Add multiple gestation details and result details. Open the Follow-up/Disposition template using the Follow Up button. Attach scanned reports associated with a diagnostic study.
