General Office and Virtual Visit Workflow

A general visit consists of office and virtual visits. Note: The instructions provided for office visit in the following sections are also applicable for virtual visits. The general office and virtual visit workflow includes the following: Intake staff workflow provides instructions for nurses or medical assistants on how to use the Intake and Histories templates to document the reasons for visit, medication, allergies, social history, and so on. Provider workflow provides instructions for providers on how to use the SOAP and Finalize templates to document assessment and physical exam details, generate evaluation, management codes, and so on. Checkout staff workflow provides instructions for front desk employees on how to use the Checkout template to view order details and provide necessary documents to patients. Reason for Visit for Well Child

You can use the Reason for Visit panel on the Pediatric SOAP template to review and update the reasons for visit added during the intake process. The Well child hpi appears on the grid automatically if you select Well child for Visit Type. Reason for Visit In addition to documenting the specialty specific reason for visit available in the left pane, you can also document a well child visit on the a generic HPI template by selecting Well child or Well child HPI in the Reason for Visit panel. In the Reason for Visit panel, you can: Review and update the social history of the patient using the Pediatric Social History link. Open the Interval History- Nutrition template using the Nutrition/Elimination link. Document substance use, psychiatric, placement, sexual practices, and child abuse history of the patient using the Confidential History link. General Information for Well Child Visit

You can enter a patient's general information. The General panel on the Pediatric SOAP template displays whether the patient is new or established. You can view the patient's well child age and review the previous well child visits and documents. General panel In the General panel, you can do the following: View the patient's well child age based on the patient's date of birth in the Well Child Age list, and select a different well child age from the Select different well child visit list, if required. When you select a different well child age in Select different well child visit, the selected age appears in Well Child Age. View the patient's most recent well child encounter in the Previous Well Child Visit field. View the Chart Note or Master document from previous encounters using the Open Selected Well Child Visit button. If the previous encounter selected in Previous Well Child Visit does not have an associated Chart Note or Master document, the Open Selected Well Child Visit butt

Physical Exam for Well Child

You can examine a patient and document the information in the Physical Exam panel on the Pediatric SOAP template. In the Physical Exam panel, you can do the following: Use the One Page Exam link to document a complete exam on a single template or click the single system exams from the left pane and its submenu. When you click the single system exam or its submenu, it opens the respective template. Select a system from the list if the applicable system does not appear in the left pane using the Additional link. The physical exam template associated with the selected system appears to document the appropriate physical exam findings. Use the Office Diagnostics button to document or review diagnostics. Pediatric Screening for Well Child

You can document and manage the screening tests and results in the Screening panel. In the Screening panel on the Pediatric SOAP template, you can do the following: Document different screenings for a patient using the screening buttons in the panel. View the patient's screening tests and results from the grid. Remove some of the screening results from the grid. Open the document attached to the screening results, if available. View the lab results for the pediatric patient. Screening Manage Pediatric Screening You can document and manage the screening tests and results for a patient using the screening buttons in the Screening panel on the Pediatric SOAP template.
