Access the Office Diagnostics

The Office Diagnostics Setup and Management practice template is used to configure and manage provider-approved service items (office order items) for office like medications, procedures, supplies, tests, and diagnostics. You can organize the service items into different sets of office-based orders to be used in the Office Services template in run time. From the File menu, click System/Practice Template. In Select Template, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All to view a list of practice templates. Select Office Diagnostics Setup and Management from the list and click OK. The Office Diagnostics Setup and Management template opens. Order Category Section

The Order Category section of this practice template includes the following types of office-based orders: Office meds Office procedures Office supplies Office tests Office diagnostics Each order category includes a list of service items list that opens by clicking the Proc.code field in the Order Details section. Order Management

The Orders panel enables you to view, process, manage, add, edit, or remove an order. It also includes links to process lab and radiology orders, open the Order Management template, open the Immunizations template, access standing orders in the Office Services template, and create tasks in the To Do template. Configuring Order Sets and Associated Picklists

You can configure the order sets and order set picklists using the Assessment Plan Customize practice template. The order sets shipped with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine can be modified to meet the specific needs of a practice or provider. When you launch the My Plan or My Custom Plan template in runtime, a list of commonly ordered items for each type of order (such as labs, diagnostics, office procedures, and so on) displays on the template. Before an assessment or a diagnosis is selected, this list (order set) is loaded by default. Selecting a diagnosis in the grid holding today's assessments on the My Plan or My Custom Plan template, changes the order set based on your selection. Create a New Order Set

The My Plan templates display all order sets that are available in the system, including those that are shipped with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The order sets can be based on a diagnosis group, provider, or specialty (department). To manage clinical references, configure categories for order types or the master picklist, refer to the indicated link. On the Assessment Plan Customization template, choose a Display option to filter the grid under the Order Sets (My Plan/Custom Plan) section by the Current provider or All providers. In the grid under the Order Sets (My Plan/Custom Plan) section, right-click and select Add New. The Provider's Custom Plan template opens. Depending on how you want to set up the order set, click the Diagnosis Group, Provider, and/or Dept fields to select a value from the resulting list.
