OB Master Document

The OB Master Document includes information entered for that particular visit. It does not include past flowsheet entries and is not meant to be a cumulative document. The information on the OB Initial Exam template does not print in the OB Master document.

The OB Master document is generally used in:

For postpartum visits
For non-pregnancy-related visits that are billable outside of the global fee
For state Medicaid regulations

Prenatal Record Document (OB Crystal Report)

OB Provider Workflow

The provider workflow for an Initial Prenatal visit involves reviewing the information documented by the intake staff and proceeding with the patient encounter by documenting information on the Prenatal Detail and SOAP templates. On the first visit, open the Gestational Age template must be opened and verify the due date. Reviewing Obstetrics Details by Providers A provider can start the visit by reviewing the patient information documented during the previous patient encounters on the Home Page template for the Obstetrics specialty. Obstetrics Home Page Template You can review the historical information of the patient on the Home Page - Obstetrics template. OB Postpartum Template

The OB Postpartum template is accessed during a postpartum visit. To document a postpartum visit, select Obstetrics as the specialty and OB - Postpartum or Document Pregnancy Outcome as the visit type. Note: The OB Postpartum visit type can only be used after every pregnancy. If a patient is seen for a wound check after delivery, you must select the Post-Operative Visit. If a patient has just delivered and the practice want to document the details of the delivery immediately, you can select the Document Pregnancy Outcome visit type. The OB Postpartum template includes addition of the Postpartum Details and Pregnancy Outcome panels. The need to compile these data into a single template is necessary for a better workflow. The OB Postpartum template is created and opened from the Postpartum tab and reflects the compilation of the data from the Postpartum Detailsand Pregnancy Outcome panels as well as the additional 8.3.10 panels (Reason for Visit; Pregnancy Outcomes; Vital Signs; Assessme

OB Intake Staff Workflow

The intake staff workflow for an Initial Prenatal visit involves documenting the patient encounter on the Intake, Gestational Age, Histories, and Education templates. The information documented by the intake staff is reviewed by the provider. When you access the Intake template, select Obstetrics and OB Prenatal Initial from the Specialty and Visit Type fields to display the Initial Prenatal template set. OB Intake tab The Intake template includes various links to add more information about the patient. Review of Obstetrics Details by Intake Staff The intake staff can review the patient's details documented during the previous encounters. Generate the OB Master Document

Select Obstetrics as the specialty and visit type as Prenatal Initial for an initial visit. Note: If the visit is a non-pregnancy-related visit, then select Office Visit - OB. Select the Preview button on the navigation bar or select the Master Document from the document button at the bottom of the SOAP tab. Note: You can select the Offline button on the navigation bar if offline document generation is set up.
