Add Medications in the Order Management Template

The Medications option and button in the Order Management panel is used to prescribe medications. The medications must be added in the Medication Configuration system template. Open the Order Management template in Intake. Select the Medications option. Click Medications to open the Medication Module. Order Management template Click Ok in the alert message. Orders

You can add and manage the orders for a patient. You can view, process, manage, add, and place a follow-up order from the Orders panel. It also includes links to process lab and radiology orders, open the Order Management template, open the Immunizations template, access standing orders on the Office Services template, create tasks on the To Do template, and document the education provided to a patient. Orders Panel The View All Orders link is selected by default. The other options to view include Labs, Diagnostics, Office Services, Immunizations Today, Surgical Procedures, Referrals, and Patient Education. You can select a row in the grid and select Edit to open the Orders Edit template, and update the order details. The Education material provided section enables you to provide patient education documents and indicate if they are provided in the patient's preferred language and FDA approved. Dispense Medications in the Order Management Template

The Manage Selected Order section is used to dispense, restock, and administer medicines and add additional SIGs. Highlight the medication in the grid. If you have not configured the selected medications in the Medication Configuration system template, an alert message appears. Order Management template If the medications are configured in the Medication Configuration template, it updates the Order, Lot number, Expiration date and other fields. Order Management template If there is an Additional SIG available, click the Additional SIG check box. Click the Additional SIG category and Additional SIG field and select an option from the picklist. Click the Dispensed option. Enter the Quantity dispensed. Enter Comments. Select a SIM code. Click the Diagnosis code field. Select a Diagnosis code. Click Save & Task. The Select Task Recipients window opens. Select Task Recipients window Click Ok. Update an Order in the Order Management Panel

Select an order with details that need to be updated in the Order Management grid. The details of the selected order display in the respective fields in the Manage Selected section. If applicable, click the Status (step) field and select the appropriate status from the Select status of referral picklist. Click the Action/comment field and select a value from the picklist. Click Edit. After making any necessary changes in the Result/report section, click Update, if applicable. All Order Management template Click Save and then Close. The changes display in the top grid. In the Order Status Detail/actions grid, you can track changes made to orders, including those made by different users, and sort orders by selecting the Order Status Detail/actions option or the Order result edit log option. Intake Template

The intake staff uses the Intake template to document a patient's chief complaint, vital signs, medications, allergies, standing orders and various other findings. Manage Orders

The Order Management template enables you to document the order result, add any additional information, and change the status of the orders. Click the Order Management sub-navigational link to open the Order Management template. A list of all the orders documented for the patient appears in the grid. Select an order to be updated. The details of the selected order appear in the respective fields in the Manage Selected Orders section. Click Edit to open the All Order Management template. All Order Management Enter the appropriate order details in the applicable section(s). After making any necessary changes in the Result/report section, click Update. All Order Management Click Save and then click Close to return to the Order Management template. Highlight the order again. The updated details display in the Manage selected order section.
