Manage ASC Vital Signs

You can continuously monitor the vital signs of a patient in the Vital Signs Monitoring panel on the Hysteroscopy - Procedure template.

  1. Open the Hysteroscopy - Procedure template.
  2. In the Vital Signs Monitoring panel, select Add.
    The ASC Vital Signs Monitoring template opens.

  3. In the Vital Signs Monitoring section, do the following:
    1. Select the stage of monitoring.
    2. To indicate the vitals are a baseline reading, select the Baseline check box.
      The vital signs details are added to the Baseline Vital Signs grid.
    3. Enter the following details:
      • Time
      • Temp(F)
      • Pulse
      • Resp
      • Sys BP
      • Dias BP
      • SpO2
      • CO2 (mmHg)
      • ECG rate
      • ECG rhythm
    4. Select the pain level and level of consciousness.
    5. Enter the details for bleeding severity and blood loss.
    6. To show who monitored the vital signs, select the Monitored by check box, and then select a user in the Monitored by field.
    7. To show the height and weight details at the top of the vital signs grid in the Vital Signs Monitoring panel, select the Height and weight check box and enter the height and weight details.
    8. Enter your comments.
      You can also use the My Phrases link to insert comments.
  4. Select Save & Close.
    The entered vital signs appear in the Intake Vital Signs Monitoring panel.
  5. Optional: To filter the vital signs by stage, select the required stage in Filtered by field.
    If the Stage field is blank, the grid shows all vital signs.

  6. Optional: To edit a vital signs record, select an entry in the grid, select Edit, and update the details in the .Vital Signs Monitoring template.
  7. Optional: To remove a vital signs record, select an entry in the grid, and select Remove.
  8. Optional: To refresh the vital signs grid, select Refresh.
