Care Guidelines Grid View Template

You can document the care guidelines details for a patient using the Care Guideline Grid View template. The Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines grid view template displays the items that are due for the patient. You can view the following panels on the Care Guidelines grid view template: Care Guidelines Recent Orders Screening Questions Metrics Vital Signs Immunizations Nutrition Drug Therapy The Care Guidelines grid view template offers basic functionality for activating and tracking guidelines for the patient. Care Guidelines Introduction

You can control the functions for a paitient using the Care Guidelines template. In NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Care Guidelines templates are used to handle health maintenance and disease management functions, including guideline testing and screening, and recommended care. The Care Guidelines templates are available from all the specialty template sets. CAUTION: The Care Guidelines templates are used in a clinical setting with patients. Individuals responsible for maintaining the system need to carefully review the content available on the templates. You can update the content as necessary to meet the needs of the practice. Open the Care Guidelines Template You can open the Care Guidelines template using the Care Guidelines link. Care Guidelines Paged View Template You can document the care guidelines details for a patient using the Care Guideline Paged View template. Reviewing Care Guidelines History

You can review the history of care guidelines tests on the Care Guidelines History template. A history of care guideline tests or exams can be reviewed on the Care Guidelines History template. You can see all guideline items that are completed and no longer due. For example, the peds guideline was applied to a 14 year old patient. Once the patient reaches adulthood, and all the well visits and other tests in the guideline are completed and no longer due, the peds guideline do not appear in the Care Guidelines template. Instead, these completed guideline items are seen on the Care Guidelines History template. Care Guidelines History The Care Guidelines History template can be opened from the: Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines template. Active Guidelines panel on the Activate Care Guidelines template. This template opens from the Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines template. View a Clinical Reference for Guideline Items

You can view the clinical references for a recommended care and care guideline orderable items on the Activate Care Guidelines template. You can view the web-based clinical reference for recommended care and care guideline orderable items. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. Select a care guideline item and select the Web button. You can view the addresses of guideline clinical references from the Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines grid view template. Activate Guidelines The corresponding clinical reference opens. Include Historical Reviews in Encounter Documents

The History Review link enables you to include detailed information in the generated encounter document. You can also document the review status of medical, surgical, family, and social histories on the template. History Review Click any of the following options next to the Med/Surg/Interim Hx, Family, and Social labels to determine what prints on the encounter document: Detailed document - displays all the details entered on the history template on the encounter document. Reviewed, updated - to indicate you have reviewed and updated the patient's historical data. Reviewed, no changes - to indicate you have reviewed the patient's history and made no changes. History unobtainable - indicates that the patient's history is not obtainable and enter the reason in the corresponding field. Click Save & Close.
