Intake Staff Workflow

The intake staff follows the standard intake workflow of the Dermatology specialty and Office Visit visit type. The intake staff records demographic and medical information following guidelines established by the practice. You can refer the information documented by the intake staff and proceed with the encounter.

If you are planning on billing for an office visit in addition to the procedure, the staff can select the Office Visit visit type. To bill the patient for this, the intake staff must record all the data needed for a standard office visit. If it is a planned visit for surgical treatment, the intake staff can select the Surgical Visit visit type.

On the Intake template, when recording reasons for visit, the intake staff can select Do not launch HPI in the Reason for Visit panel . When they select a reason for visit, the system makes an entry in the Reason for Visit grid.
