Grids and Fields on the Recommended Care Practice Template

You can build a recommended care guideline using the grids and fields on the Recommended Care practice template.

Lists of recommended care types, goals, items, status, compliance, and exclusions are maintained on the Custom DB Picklists system template. After these recommended care DB picklists are set up, they can be used on the Recommended Care practice template to build a recommended care guideline. The recommended care DB picklists are opened from the edit fields found above each of the data grids on the Recommended Care practice template.

The Recommended Care grid on the left determines what information displays in the Goals, Status, and Compliance grids on the right. You can select an entry in the Recommended Care grid to display corresponding entries in the Goals, Status, and Compliance grids.

DeveloperUsed to support clinical decisions. The Developer field is used to identify who added or updated the reference. If you select any care guideline reference from the grid that is shipped by NextGen Healthcare and if you haven’t configured the selected reference, the system populates the default value, NextGen Healthcare, in the Developer field. Otherwise it would populate with the respective developer’s name. When any other fields are updated for the selected care guideline in the template, the Developer field gets cleared and can be updated with the developer's name. This is not a mandatory field.
Funding SourceUsed to support clinical decisions. The Funding Source field is used to identify the funding source of the reference. If you select any care guideline reference from the grid that is shipped by NextGen Healthcare and if you have not configured the selected reference, the system populates the default value, NextGen Healthcare, in the Funding Source field. Otherwise it would populate with the respective funding source name. When any other fields are updated for the selected care guideline in the template, the Funding Source field gets cleared and can be updated with the funding source name. This is not a mandatory field.
Reference UpdatedUsed to support clinical decisions. By default, if you select any care guideline from the grid, the Reference Updated field populates with the build updated date, if you have not updated or created the reference. When any other fields are updated for the selected care guideline in the template, Reference Updated populates with the current date.
