Review Custom DB Picklists Used with Recommended Care

You can review DB picklist on the Custom DB Picklists template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Custom DB Picklists system template, select the DB picklist to review. The selected DB picklist appears in the DBPicklist Name field. Items in the DB picklist appear in the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items grid. Custom DB Picklists In the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items panel, select Show selected DBPicklist (above). In the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items grid, select the row in the grid with the item to review. Details for the row appear in the edit fields below the Step 2 grid. Step 2 Add/Edit List Items Review all items found in the DB picklist. Make changes to an existing DB picklist item using the edit fields below the grid, and select Update. Note: Each DB picklist for recommended care has different required fields. Custom DB Picklists Used with Recommended Care

You can configure recommended care guidelines on the Custom DB Picklists template. Recommended care guidelines are configured using custom DB picklists on the Custom DB Picklists Setup system template. Medication classifications are groupings of medications by similar class or utilization, such as beta blockers and anti-hypertensives. The medication_classifications custom DB picklist is configured for: Recommended care on the Recommended Care practice template Medication classes on the Medication Classes practice template Screening questions on the Care Guidelines template Item Configured DB Picklist Used to Configure Medication Classifications medication_classifications Additional custom DB picklists are used for recommended care only. Grids and Fields on the Recommended Care Practice Template

You can build a recommended care guideline using the grids and fields on the Recommended Care practice template. Lists of recommended care types, goals, items, status, compliance, and exclusions are maintained on the Custom DB Picklists system template. After these recommended care DB picklists are set up, they can be used on the Recommended Care practice template to build a recommended care guideline. The recommended care DB picklists are opened from the edit fields found above each of the data grids on the Recommended Care practice template. Note: The Recommended Care grid is the main grid where recommended care guidelines are built and maintained. Edit fields above the grid correspond to the columns in the grid. The Recommended Care grid on the left determines what information displays in the Goals, Status, and Compliance grids on the right. In the top grid of the Custom DB Picklists template, highlight the custom DB picklist that you want to configure. Do one of the following: If a custom DB picklist uses only Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2, it is managed from the Step 2 Add/Edit List Item panel grid. If the custom DB picklist has more than two qualifiers, the Step 2 Add/Edit List Items panel is collapsed and the Configure button appears to the right of the panel label, skip to step 3. Note: If you want to customize a care plan DB picklist for a specific practice, you need a record in the names table containing the selected practice ID. Click Configure. The Custom DB Picklist Setup template opens. Click Add New List Item link to add a new list item. The fields above the grid become available for documentation. Screening Questions DB Picklist Required Fields

You can check the information that is required for screening questions. The screening_questions custom list has specific information that is required. These requirements are listed below. Panel Description Qualifier 1 Conditions contained in the care guidelines or protocols reference system. Set up on the Dx Groups Reference Systems system template. Qualifier 2 Text that concatenates when a yes or no response is selected. Limited to 20 characters The text displayed will be Positive for qualifier 2 or Negative for qualifier 2 List Item Contains the question that displays on the Screening Questions panel on the Care Guidelines template. It is recommended that the expected responses both positive and negative be grouped When numbering the questions, use a single space before a single digit number, and no space before a two-digit number Each question is limited to 150 characters The panel is limited to 15 questions per condition Parent topic: Screening Questions
