SOAP Link Icons
The icons for various links appear on the SOAP template. You can use various links options to perform the task quickly on the SOAP template. Icons Description The Provider Communication icon enables you to open the Provider Communication template to document the communication with a family member or another physician. This is an optional feature. The Meds icon enables you to open the Medication module to prescribe new medicines for the patient. The Procedures icon enables you to open a procedure picklist. This list is configurable. The All option can be added to the list to open all procedure choices or the navigation bar can be used to open the Procedures template. The Patient Plan icon enables you to generate the Patient Plan document, which can be printed and given to the patient at each visit. You can also generate Patient Plan from the Checkout tab. You can generate the notes associated with an encounter on the SOAP template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. Select . Select the required note in the list. Select OK. Access the Diagnostic Studies Template

Document Social Confidential History
In the Histories template, scroll to the Social panel, and click the Confidential History link. The Confidential history template opens. Enter confidential history. Click Intake Note. Click the SOAP tab. To generate the Master document, do one of the following: Scroll to the bottom of the SOAP template, click Generate Note and select Master document from the picklist. Use the SOAP template to enter history, exam, assessment, and plan information. Reason for Visit on the SOAP Template You can use the Reason for Visit to enter the patient introduction and additional details about the reason for visit. Adding an Encounter Note
You can add an encounter note from a task for encounter, chart, and appointment source types. This option is available from the Notes tab on the Add/Edit Task window by right-clicking and selecting New > Encounter note. When you add encounter notes to encounter source types, the notes are added to the encounter. When adding encounter notes to a chart or appointment source type, the notes are added to the most recent encounter. Parent topic: Working Tasks Assigned to You
