Overview of the Finalize Template Workflow

You can complete the encounter workflow using the Finalize template. The template enables you to do the following: Calculate all the elements documented in the Intake, Histories, and SOAP templates. Select the Evaluation and Management (E&M) code level for the visit. Submit the E&M coding to the Superbill module. Tobacco Cessation You can use the Tobacco Cessation template to document the patient's tobacco use and the methods used for tobacco cessation. Patient's General Information on Finalize You can view the general details related to finalizing the workflow of the patient in the General panel. Patient's Assessments on Finalize You can view, add, or edit patient assessments in the Today's Assessment panel. E and M Level Summary You can view the summary of a patient's history, exam levels, and coding points for the Evaluation and Management (E&M) code calculation under the 95 or 97 Coding Guidelines in the E&M Level Summary panel. The Finalize Template Workflow

You can do the following on the Finalize template: Submit and review the plan of care, based on your role, on the Provider Sign Off panel. Document Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes on the Evaluation and Management Coding panel. Calculate the patient's medical-decision-making level and submit the E&M codes to the Superbill module. Review the patient's history and physical examination details on the E&M Level panel and identify factors in the calculation of the E&M code under the 95 or 97 Coding Guidelines. Cardiology Provider Workflow on the Finalize Template

The Finalize template allows you to document various patient findings. You can use the Finalize - Cardiology template to do the following. Document assessments, medical decision making, counseling details, and Evaluation and Management (EM or E&M) coding. Submit codes for billing. Open a patient support case, visit document, and referral thank-you letter. Evaluation and Management Coding You can use three types of guidelines to calculate the Evaluation and Management code for Cardiology. Generate Documents You can generate and print various patient documents such as patient support cases, visit documents, referral thank-you letters, and provider communications on the Finalize - Cardiology template. Review and Sign Off Care Plans The Provider Sign Off section enables you to send a request to the supervising physician for review and sign off to indicate that the plan of care provided to the patient is appropriate. Evaluation and Management Guidelines on Finalize

You can view different coding guidelines on the Finalize template. The guidelines are available as the following panels in the template. 95 Physical Exam Details displays the calculated E&M points for each listed component. 95 Physical Exam Details on Finalize 97 Multi System Physical Exam Details displays detailed information on calculating points for multi system physical exam items to calculate a total E&M service code. 97 Multi System Physical Exam Details on Finalize 97 Single System Physical Exam Details displays detailed information on calculating points for single system physical exam items to calculate a total E&M service code. You can only use one of these guidelines at a time. You need to configure the guidelines in the E&M Coding section on the Practice Configuration template. Note: With the 97 Coding Guidelines, you can select the Multi system or Single system physical exam type in the General panel on the Finalize template. Providers can do the following on the Finalize template. Submit and review the plan of care, based on your role in the Provider Sign Off panel. The Virtual Visit Billing section is enabled only for virtual visits. You can use the Virtual Visit Billing section to do the following: Document the billing details for virtual visits. Select up to three visit codes and submit to Superbill. Display the details submitted to Superbill. Virtual Visit Billing Document the Time Details for Virtual Visit Billing You can document the time details for virtual visit billing. Manage Visit Codes for Virtual Visit Billing You can enter up to three visit codes for virtual visit billing. Manage Visit Code Modifiers for Virtual Visit Billing You can add or edit the visit code modifiers for virtual visit billing. Submit Codes for Virtual Visit Billing You can document the virtual visit details of a patient on the Virtual Visit Billing section, and submit the codes to Superbill for a virtual visit.
