Enter the 2021 Coding Guidelines Effective Date for FTS and Ophthalmology Finalize Templates

For the FTS Finalize or Ophthalmology Finalize template, you must enter the effective date for the 2021 Coding Guidelines in a template you open from the EM Coding section of the Ngkbm Config template or the Practice Configuration template. You can set a date prior to the actual effective date for testing purposes.
  1. From the File menu, click System\Practice Template.
    The Select Template window opens.
  2. Click the Practice tab.
  3. In the Show section, select All.
    A list of practice-level templates appears.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • For NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, 8.4 to 8.4.1, click ngkbm Config, and then click OK.

      The Ngkbm Config template opens.

    • For NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, 8.4.2 and above, click Practice Configuration and then click OK.

      The Practice Configuration template opens.

  5. In the third column, click the 2021 Coding Guidelines link.

  6. Enter the effective date and then click Accept. To change the date you entered, you can click the field again, and select a different date.
  7. For guidelines, in the third column, ensure that 95 Coding Guidelines or 97 Coding Guidelines has been selected.   8. From the top right of the Ngkbm Config template or the Practice Configuration template, click Save and Close.
