EM Bullet ID - Field Mapping

The EM BULLET ID -FIELD MAPPING or Page 2 (Mapping) maps the EM Coding Bullet ID to a specific field on template. If any of the mapped fields are documented during an encounter, the EM Bullet ID is tallied with other bullets. A total tally of all documented bullets is shown on the EM History template. If new templates are added, or if existing templates are customized, and they contain HPI, or physical exam fields, the fields need to be mapped using Page 2 (Mapping) section of the E&M Bullets and Field Mapping template to be included in the EM calculation. For HPI’s, it is recommended that you use an existing HPI template as your starting point to minimize the need for EM mappings. For the history fields, it is recommended that you share the radio buttons and doc gen hidden fields from Master_IM onto your new template. By doing so, no additional mappings are needed. EM Field Maps Section

The EM FIELD MAPS or Page 3 (Fields) displays a list of all mappings for all fields in a table. This section enables you to: Add multiple bullet IDs to one field. For example, select the Globally Normal check box where multiple elements are selected by selecting that field. Set a specific value - Some fields must only get a point if the field has a specific value in that field. An example of this is a picklist that has multiple elements. Each item in the picklist could be set up as a specific value to be mapped to a unique bullet ID. Evaluation and Management Codes

The E&M Bullets and Field Mapping system template enables you to create and manage Evaluation and Management (EM) codes within the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. This includes adding and modifying an EM type, bullet ID, EM field maps, and EM table list. The data configured on the E&M Bullets and Field Mapping system template is used to calculate the Evaluation and Management Code. The system is packaged with preconfigured values for the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine content, where applicable. Delete a Template from the EM Table List

On the E&M Bullets and Field Mapping template, navigate to the EM TABLE LIST or Page 4 (Tables) section. In the Table Name grid, highlight the template, you want to delete. When a template is highlighted in the grid, a Delete button appears. Click the Delete button. When you have completed the changes, click the Apply Changes button to activate the changes. Add a Template to the EM Table List

On the E&M Bullets and Field Mapping system template, navigate to the EM TABLE LIST section or click the Page 4 (Tables) link. Click the Table Name field. A picklist appears with the list of available templates. Select the applicable template, by clicking the template name. Click the OK button. Click the Insert button to add the template. Once the template is added, the field mappings can be applied in the EM BULLET ID - FIELD MAPPING section. When you have completed the changes, click the Apply Changes button to activate the changes.
