Gestational Age Template

The Gestational Age panel enables you to document the necessary information about gestational age so that it is possible to determine the Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD). Note: NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine calculates the EGA (Estimated Gestational Age) based on the LMP date provided in the Gestational Age template . The gestational age for each encounter recalculates automatically and fills in the appropriate templates. The system recalculates the gestational age after each encounter and fills in the appropriate template. Note: The OB Gestational Orders template is integrated in the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine workflow. You can access the OB Gestational Orders template from Prenatal Detail > Order Labs > OBGYN Lab Master > Labs > Orders by Gestational Week. The lab results fills the Order Management template, OBGYN Lab Master template, or the Order Module. You can document the necessary information to estimate the Expected Delivery Date (EDD) on the Gestational Age template.

Intake Template

In the Intake template, after selecting the Obstetrics specialty and the OB Prenatal Initial visit type, to document the patient information for the OB Prenatal Initial workflow, you can: View the alerts Record vital signs Document medications Document allergies Document a urine dipstick result Perform a depression check, if desired you may also use links to access additional templates, as needed: Standing Orders Adult Immunizations Peds Immunizations My Plan Procedures Order Management Update Lab Results Note: You can customize the links for the practice and associate them with a particular template so that different links can appear on different templates, if desired. Obstetrics Histories Template

The Histories template contains nine panels: Pregnancy History Gravidity/Parity Since Last Menstrual Period Medical/Infection History Medical/Surgical/Interim General Family Social Genetic Screening/Teratology Counseling OB Histories template The Histories template displays gravidity/parity, initial/working EDD, working EGA, blood type and Rh, and risk level as in Gestational Age template. After a complete history is taken, use the Risk Factors link to document the risk level. Note: When documenting risk factors, the practice may decide to only indicate the positive items rather than select negative for all of the remaining items. In addition, putting the actual risk level must be done by the provider. This may be done on this template or on the Prenatal Detail template. Patient's General Information

You can use the General panel to enter a patient's general information. You can document a patient's general information on the Intake template. General Information Section on Intake When someone provides the patient details, you can document the historian details in theHistorianfield. When someone interprets the patient’s communication, you can select theInterpreter Detailslink to document the details of the interpreter. You can selectConfigurable Questionnaireslink to document the screening details of the patient. You can select theTransitioning into Carelink to document the summary of care record information for a patient. You can select theEnable HCC for this patientcheck box to hide or show the HCC links, badges, and grid columns on the templates at the patient level. You can select theFamily planning encounterandDisabilitycheck boxes if an encounter is a family planning encounter and describes any disability. Document the OB Histories Template

To document information in the OB Histories template, select the Histories tab. By default, all panels on this template are expanded when the template is opened. Document the Pregnancy History Panel You can document pregnancy history information in the Pregnancy History panel. Document the Gravidity/Parity Panel You can quickly view the patient's gravidity and parity and can only document multiple births information in the Gravidity/Parity panel. Document the Since Last Menstrual Period Panel You can document last menstrual period information in the Since Last Menstrual Period panel. Document the Obstetric Education

The Education template enables you to document information related to prenatal education for each trimester. One or multiple people can provide details.. There are three panels on the Education template, one for each trimester of pregnancy. In addition, the Ultrasound Detail link opens a template on which you can document in-office official sonogram results, if needed. Education template Open the Education-Obstetrics template. Open the required trimester edcation panel, for example, the First Trimester Education panel. Select the Add/Update button. First Trimester Education panel The First Trimester window opens. Select the Check all education for 1st Trimester check box or select the relevant check boxes indicating that the education element is discussed with the patient. The following fields are automatically filled: Completed fields with the current encounter date. Educational elements fields with the number of defined and completed elements. Initials fields with the user initials.
