Create Lab Slips

You can use the Lab Slip link to generate patient specific lab slips that you can print and hand over to the patients.

The Pull From Plan link enables you to pull the labs from the Labs template that have been ordered on Today’s visit and place them in each slip section to be printed. The Pull From Lipid link pulls lipid labs that have been placed on the Lipids template. The Print Slips link prints the labs on a crystal report called CARD_LabSlips that you can give to the patient.
  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. On the Home Page - Cardiology template, click the Lab Slip link.

  3. In the Lab Slip Information section, to pull the lipid labs, click the Pull From Plan link.
  4. Verify the following:
    • If the patient should be Fasting.
    • The Date by selecting a date from the calendar.
    • The Interval of the lab.
    • If the lab slip should be Forwarded to a particular provider.
    • If the Physician Signature is present (the physician would have had to sign-off on the orders on the Order Plan template).
    • Whether the order should be a Verbal Order.
  5. To print the lab slip, click the Print Slips link.
