Open the Custom DB Picklists system template. Locate and select the Derm_findings DB picklist. Select Configure. The Derm Finding Setup template opens. The grid shows the currently defined groupings for the available findings. Locate and click the finding record. The data entry fields are displayed with the data from the selected record and the Update and Remove buttons are enabled. To update a record, make the necessary changes in the Finding Name and Clinically Group fields and click Update. To remove the record, click Remove. Click Close. Each finding marked on an exam tool image creates a separate record in the Findings grid on the GET. When you access the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE or Biopsy/Destruction/Shave - Procedures templates, those findings also appear as individual records in the grids on the templates. This is appropriate for many findings, such as lesions, as you would typically address each lesion finding individually. However, for certain findings, such as acne, you would treat the condition as a whole and not each marked finding. In that case, you would want to have the individual findings grouped on the templates as a single record, enabling you to address all findings for that condition at the same time. Note: The findings are only grouped in the grids on the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE or Biopsy/Destruction/Shave - Procedures template grids. In the GET Findings grid, they remain as individual records. Create Group Findings You can create the findings and can be clinically grouped using Custom DB picGroup Findings

Before you begin To configure a new finding, ensure that you have created a new finding. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Select the Profiles tab. In the Profiles pane select derm_exam. The properties for the derm_exam profile appear in the Properties pane. In Settings, select Findings and then select the ellipsis button. The derm_exam window opens and displays the defined findings for the profile in the Members pane. The currently used findings columns are indicated by a check. To add, remove, or change the order of the finding, do one of the following: To add a finding to the profile, locate the finding and select the check box next to it. To remove a finding, clear the check box. To change the order of the findings, select a finding and use the up and down arrows to move the finding. Note: The order specified here controls the appearance of the selection list of fConfigure a Finding for the Derm_Exam Profile

The GET is delivered with a predefined set of findings for all specialties that employ the tool. The findings are appropriately included in each specialty profile delivered with the GET. If necessary, you can modify and add additional findings. When you add a finding to the GET, you can also do the following: Specify the appearance of the finding when you click the GET exam tool images. Setup the display order of findings. Launch a specific template at runtime for the finding. Add the finding to the derm_exam profile. Add the finding to the appropriate Reason for Visit lists. Optionally, create a template default for the finding. Indicate if multiple instances of the finding are to be grouped on templates. Display an attributes window when you annotate a finding at run time. You can configure each attribute to be a text entry or, for some attributes, you have the option to display a picklist. Set up a default action (procedure) for the finding and create a picklist of actions from whicCreate and Configure Findings

The Graphical Exam Tool is delivered with a complete set of findings-based template defaults to use with the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE (Full Skin Exam) template. The defaults enable you to fill the template with predefined data relevant to the specific finding with a single click. You can modify the template defaults to meet your practice's specific need. In addition, if you add additional findings to the GET, you can create template defaults for those findings. Creating at least one template default for a GET finding automatically fills the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE (Full Skin Exam) template with the custom-created template information when you click the grid entry for that finding. When you create two or more template defaults for a specific finding, the system launches a picklist of the template default names so you can decide which template to use. The system displays a picklist with all template defaults defined for GET findings if you do not build a template default for a nTemplate Default for a Finding
