Create a New Copy of an Existing Template Default Set
Select a row in the grid in the
Currently Available Template Default Sets
section with the template default set you wish to copy.
In the
Copy/Delete Selected Set
section, enter a name in the
New Set Name
field.
Click the
Copy Set
button.
The copy of the selected template default set appears in the grid under the
Currently Available Template Default Sets
section, added to the end.

Enter Template Default Set Values
The Template Default Set Values section displays the default values assigned to the set. The fields below the Template Default Set Values grid are used to assign default values to specific fields in the default set. Select a row from the grid in the Currently Available Template Default Sets section. The existing default values associated with the selected set appear in the grid under the Template Default Set Values section. To add a new default value in the Template Default Set Values section: Click the Template Name field and select a template from the list. Click the Field Name field to select a field from the list. In the Default Value field, enter a new default value. Click the Add Value button. The newly added value appears in the grid under the Template Default Set Values section. To update an existing default value: Highlight a grid row to modify. The data displays in the corresponding fields below the grid. Make changes as need and click Update Value. Remove a Template Default Set
On the Template Defaults Setup system template, select a row in the grid in the Currently Available Template Default Sets section, with the default set you wish to delete. In the Copy/Delete Selected Set section, click the Delete Set button. The selected default set is deleted from the grid. Parent topic: Template Default Sets Panel

Edit a Template Default Set
You can edit an existing template default set in the grid in the Currently Available Template Default Sets section. Note: A NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine upgrade overwrites any modifications to the original default sets that are packaged as a part of the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Before a template default set is modified, it is recommended that you create a copy of the existing set and make customizations to the new set. For more information on how to create a copy of the existing set, see Create a New Copy of an Existing Template Default Set Double-click a row in the grid in the Currently Available Template Default Sets section. Add a New Template Default Set
You can add a new default set on the Template Default Sets panel of the Template Defaults Setup system template. In the Currently Available Template Default Sets section on the Template Defaults Setup system template, right-click over the grid and select Add New. The Template Defaults Sets - [New Record] template opens. Click the Type field and select the appropriate default set type from the list. Refer to Types of Template Default Sets. Click the Category field to select an appropriate value from the DB picklist. In the Set Name field, enter a name for the template default set. Click the Specialties field and select only the specialties using this default set from the list of specialty abbreviations. Select all to enable all specialties to use this default set. Click Close to exit the list. Access the Template Defaults Setup System Template
From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window appears. In the Show section, select All to see a list of system templates. To access the Template Defaults Setup template, do one of the following: Double-click Template Defaults Setups. Template Default Sets Panel
The Template Default Sets panel is where you can create new default sets, copy an existing set, and delete sets, as needed. Default sets can be created for different clinical scenarios based on the patient characteristics such as age, sex, or diagnosis.
