Configure the Framework Template Tabs

You can configure the framework template tabs from the Tabs section.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Framework Content system template.
3. Click the Tabs and Subnavigation panel.
4. In the Tabs section, to select a visit type from the list, and click the Visit Type field.
   The Visit Type is based on the specialty that you select. The list includes only those visit types for which you have not configured the tabs.
5. If the visit type is not in the list, select the visit type in the grid.
   Each visit type is configured to a range of Current Procedural Terminology ( CPT® ) codes which are used to calculate the Evaluation and Management (E&M) code on the Finalize template.

   Note: The Finalize template in Cardiology and Ophthalmology specialties calculates the codes differently, so you cannot add visit types for these specialties through this process.
6. In the Caption field, type a label for the tab in the Tab 1 section.
7. To enter the template to be opened when the user clicks the tab, click the Template field and select a template.
8. Click Add.
   The details of the configured tabs have been added to the grid.
