You can access the Framework Content system template from the System \ Practice Template tab.
Open

Copy the Current Configurations
You can copy the current configurations to another specialty, practice, or provider using the copy button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content template. To copy your preferences on the Framework Content system template, select the Specialty, Practice, or Provider. In the Copy To section, enter any or all of the following: Specialty Practice Provider Copy To To duplicate the setup preferences, click the Copy button. Select Current Configurations by Specialty
You can view the current configurations by specialty from the lists present on the Framework Content template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content template. In the Specialty field, click and select a select a specialty.The configuration of the selected specialty appears in all the sections of the system template. specialty Parent topic: Framework Content Template

Framework Content Template
The Framework Content system template enables you to customize various elements of navigation and configure the content for certain panels at the specialty, practice, and provider levels. Though NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine contains default configurations on the Framework Content system template, you can set up configurations at the practice and provider levels. Since the application is delivered with the default setup for each specialty, it is acceptable to select only a specialty on the system template. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that you apply the configurations at the specialty level. You must avoid or limit the use of provider-based configurations, because it is difficult to maintain a large number of setups. This is particularly important for users with a large number of providers. However, NextGen Healthcare recommends that provider-level configurations be used for providers of specialties not represented in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. For example, Endocrinolo

Add the Framework Template Links
You can add the Framework Template links in the sub-navigation section associated with each tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Click the Tabs and Subnavigation panel. Sub navigation Select a tab. In the Sub Navigation section, type a label for the link in the Caption field. Set Up Links
You can use the Framework Content system template to configure the links. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Template Window Select the System tab. In the Show section, select All. A list of templates appear. To open the Framework Content template, double-click Framework Content. Select from the Specialty and Practice lists. In Tabs, do the following: Select from the Template and Visit Type lists. Enter a value in the Caption field. Select a template in the Template field from the list. Select Add. The Tab details are added. In the Tabs grid, select a row. The application lists associated links in the Sub Navigation section. In Sub Navigation , do the following: Select the Tab Name. Enter the caption and template details in the Sub Nav 1Sub Nav 2, Sub Nav 3, and so on. Select Add. A new link is added. Access the Visit Type Configuration Window
