Copy the Current Configurations

You can copy the current configurations to another specialty, practice, or provider using the copy button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content template. To copy your preferences on the Framework Content system template, select the Specialty, Practice, or Provider. In the Copy To section, enter any or all of the following: Specialty Practice Provider Copy To To duplicate the setup preferences, click the Copy button. Access the Framework Content Template

You can access the Framework Content system template from the System \ Practice Template tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Click All. Click Configuration Home. From the navigation bar, select Framework Content, and then click OK. The Framework Content template opens. Framework Content Template

The Framework Content system template enables you to customize various elements of navigation and configure the content for certain panels at the specialty, practice, and provider levels. Though NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine contains default configurations on the Framework Content system template, you can set up configurations at the practice and provider levels. Since the application is delivered with the default setup for each specialty, it is acceptable to select only a specialty on the system template. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that you apply the configurations at the specialty level. You must avoid or limit the use of provider-based configurations, because it is difficult to maintain a large number of setups. This is particularly important for users with a large number of providers. However, NextGen Healthcare recommends that provider-level configurations be used for providers of specialties not represented in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. For example, Endocrinolo

Open the Specialty Configuration Home

You can open the specialty configuration homepage using the file menu. Open the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application. From the File menu, select System / Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. Select a Specialty, Practice, and Provider

To update the My Plan template layout, you must first select a specialty, practice, and provider on the Framework Content system template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. To modify a specialty, practice, or provider, do one of the following: specialty, practice, or provider To update the specialty, select a specialty. To update the practice, select a specialty and a practice. To update the provider, select a specialty, a practice, and a provider.
