Configure Medications for Joint Injections

You can configure medications for joint injections using the Joint Injection Data Setup template.

  1. For example, you can configure the Injection, dexamethasone sodium phosphate 1mg (J110) medication in two ways, based on preferences.
  2. Method 1 (commonly injected): If a provider usually injects 4 mg of the medication, this can be configured as 4 in the Amount field, mg in the Units field, and 4 in the Billing Units field. This method reduces the number of clicks in runtime.
  3. Method 2 (per billing unit): Define as one unit of medication is equal to one billing unit. This can be configured as 1 in the Amount field, mg in the Units field, and 1 in the Billing Units field.
  4. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template.
    The Select Template window appears.
