Patient Information CardYou can configure the Patient Information Card in File Maintenance. You can set patient alerts, send emails, document telephone conversations, send a task, and track the time a patient spends during the visit.
Risk LevelOn the Risk Stratification template, you can select one of the color coded columns to associate a risk level to a patient. In addition, you can view the selected risk level (1-6) and the associated level color.
Risk FactorsYou can document a patient's risk factor details on the Risk Factors Config template. The risk indicators for tobacco use (TOB), hypertension (HTN), diabetes (DM), and coronary artery disease (CAD) are available.
Care TeamYou can consolidate a list of care team members for a patient.
Contagion RiskYou can document any exposures that a patient has had to contagions, and any travel to areas with high risk of exposure to contagions.
HCCYou can view and update the diagnoses for Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding.
Care GuidelinesYou can verify or update the information related to lab or radiology order processing, care guidelines, screening questions, vital signs, immunizations, nutrition, and drug therapy.
Global DaysYou can track the number of post-op days remaining for a patient who had a surgical procedure.
UA/PSA/PVRYou can document the summary of following tests:
  • Urinalysis (UA) - A group of tests used that looks for Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) or blood in the urine.
  • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) - A blood test that measures the level of PSA, a protein produced by prostate cells, in the blood.
  • Post-void Residual Volume (PVR) - A test done to measure the urine left in the bladder after urinating.
DemographicsYou can document patient information details, such as contact number, address, primary care physician (PCP), primary practice provider, insurance or pharmacy, provider, emergency contact, employment, and reminders.
Order ManagementYou can update the order details of a patient.
Document LibraryYou can view the list of documents that is used to generate information.
Chart AbstractionYou can add or modify the history of the patient in the Chart Abstraction template.
Standing OrdersYou can update or place orders, document the details of the diagnosis, and bill the orders of a patient.
Adult ImmunizationYou can add the vaccine, medication, and allergy details of an adult patient.
Ped ImmunizationYou can add the vaccine, medication, and allergy details of a pediatric patient.

Screening Tools
You can document the encounter details provided by a patient using the screening and assessment tools configured by the practice and supported by NextGen Healthcare.
  • An asterisk (*) next to the screening tool indicates that the screening tool has been used during the current encounter.
  • The letter 'T' indicates that the screening tool opens as a template.
  • The letter 'W' indicates that the screening tool opens a website.
