Ambulatory Surgery Home Page and Common Templates
You can document the details of the procedure performed on the patient in the ASC using the framework template sets in the Ambulatory Surgery specialty.
The Ambulatory Surgery specialty content enables documentation of procedure details performed on the patient in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The ASCs have patients referred by the primary care physicians to perform procedures related to a specific problem or an illness found through a diagnostic analysis.
The Ambulatory Surgery specialty includes the following visit types:
- Procedure Preadmission
- Procedure
- Procedure Post Discharge
- Virtual Visit Telephone
- Virtual Visit Video
You need to select a visit type from the Udp Visit Types list to proceed with the workflow.

The nurse or clinical staff initiates the workflow by accessing the patient's chart. The patient chart includes the Patient Information Card to view the demographic details, enter any alert information, and so on.
