Allergy Testing Workflow

You can test and document a patient's asthma related issues on the Testing - Allergy template. You can perform and document the results of allergy testing for the Testing Only visit type. You can use the Testing - Allergy template for the following tests: Prick test ID test Challenge test Allergen Specific IgE test Begin a Testing Only Visit You can use the Testing Only visit type for patients allergy testing only. Prick/ID/Challenge Test Panel You can document the test result in the Prick/ID/Challenge Test panel on the Testing - Allergy template. Challenge Tests Panel You can use the Challenge Tests panel to enter the administration and other test data for previously ordered challenge tests. Open the Allergy Home Page

You can use the Templates module to open the Home Page - Allergy template. Before you begin When you open the Home Page - Allergy template, ensure to select the specialty and visit type to open the framework template set for Allergy and Immunology. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Medical Records tab. In the Show section, select the All option. Documenting Dental Patient Encounters

You can use the Home Page and Histories templates in NextGen Adaptive Content Engine to document the encounter details of a dental patient. The Dental User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine is intended for dental professionals, such as providers, nurses, and front office staff, responsible for documenting and processing patient information. The Dental User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine also provides information on how to document pediatric dental care. You can document the dental office and virtual visit workflows on the Home Page and Histories templates. Before documenting a standard visit, you must configure settings to quickly access the templates. The common configurations associated with the templates include the links in the navigation bar, reasons for visit, medications, allergies, social history and so on. Document New Allergies for a Patient

You can document allergy details of a patient. Before you begin If the Joint Commission standards are enabled on the Practice Configuration template, document allergy information after entering whether the patient is new or established along with the Visit Type and Historian. After documenting allergies, continue entering other details. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, in the Allergies panel, select Add. The age-specific allergies template opens. Select the applicable check boxes, and then select the associated reaction from the corresponding list. If the patient's allergy information is not available on the template, select Manage Allergies and document the allergy details. If you want to document the allergy severity and additional details, select Manage Allergies. A message appears indicating to confirm if you want to add the selected allergy to the Medication Allergies module.
