Add Environmental Information that Affect the Patient
Before you begin
You must select the Enable Panel version of Adult Social History check box on the Practice Configuration template to open the Adult Social History template.
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
In the Social panel, select Add/Edit.
The Adult Social History template opens.
In the Environmental panel, in the Residence section, do the following:
To add information about the patient's primary residence, select 1 for Residence.
Enter the appropriate residence information in the respective fields.
Select Add.
The residence information displays in the grid.
Repeat the steps to add a second residence for the patient using the 2 option for Residence.
In the Animals section, do the following:
To document animal information, select 1 or 2 for Residence depending on which residence the animal is in.
Enter the animal type and environmental factors.
Select Add.
In the Miscellaneous section, enter the miscellaneous information for hobbies, and chemicals in the home or at work from the respective lists.
