Editing the Patient's Address History

You can view and edit the patient's address history details in the Address panel of the Patient Demographics template. You can add, update, or remove a previous address in the Address panel of the Patient Demographics template if the address is not the patient's primary address. You can edit the primary address only on the Modify Patient Information template. The edits you make in the Address History section of the Address panel, including adding, updating, or removing a previous history, are audited through Advanced Audit. Add Address Information

You can add the billing or secondary address for the patient using the Add Person Information window.This information includes the patient or person's mailing address. The billing address is the address used for sending correspondence between your practice and the patient. If needed, you can enter a secondary address. In NextGen® Enterprise, open the People Lookup window and select New. The Add Person Information window opens. To enter the person or patient's address, select one of the following options: Billing - Enter the address used by the practice to send statements, claim information, and any additional correspondence between the practice and the patient. Update Past Medical History

You can update the past medical history for a patient in the Edit Past Medical History template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Histories template. In the Medical/Surgical/Interim panel, select the medical or surgical record from the grid that you want to update, and select Edit. The Edit Past Medical History template opens. Edit Past Medical History Note: You can select an entry in the Past Medical History grid and can select Edit to open the Edit Past Medical History template. Update the necessary details. Update Past Medical History

You can update the past medical history for a patient on the Edit Past Medical History template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Do one of the following to update past medical history on the Edit Past Medical History template: On the Histories template, in Medical/Surgical/Interim, select the corresponding medical or surgical record from the grid that you want to update, and select Edit. In the History Summary panel on Intake, in Past Medical/Surgical, select the row on the grid that you want to update, and select Edit. The Edit Past Medical History template opens. Edit Past Medical History Note: The Edit Past Medical History template can also be accessed from the Past Medical History template by selecting an entry on the Past Medical History grid and selecting Edit. Open the Patient Demographics Template

You can document patient details such as contact number, address, Primary Care Physician (PCP), primary practice provider, insurance, pharmacy, provider, emergency contact, employment, and reminder details, on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient record. To open the Patient Demographics template, do one of the following: Open the Templates module, and double-click Patient Demographics in the Demographics tab. On the Home Page template, select the Demographics link. The Patient Demographics template opens.
