Configuring Medical, Surgical and Family History

This document provides information on how to configure the specialty-specific medical history, surgical history, and family health history content. The Configure Medical, Surgical, Family Hx system template enables you to configure a list of medical, surgical and family health conditions, and management items that are associated with the SNOMED (Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine) codes. In run time, the configured conditions and management items appear in the Past Medical History and Family Health History templates. In the Configure Medical, Surgical, Family Hx system template, you can configure different types of conditions as described in the table. Configure the Medical and Family History

You can configure the windows that open on adding a medical or family history on the Medical/Surgical/Interim panel and the Family panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Click the Medical/Surgical/Interim panel. In the Medical History Popup list, select a template. In the Family History Popup list, select a template. Open the Specialty Configuration Home

You can open the specialty configuration homepage using the file menu. Open the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application. From the File menu, select System / Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Template Note: By default, the System tab is selected, and preferred templates are displayed on the Select Template window. If the *Specialty Config Home option is not displayed in the preferred templates list, select All in the Show section. All system templates are displayed.
