Finalize Template

You can use the Finalize template at the end of an encounter to review the encounter, record and calculate time-based and service-based Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes, and associate the appropriate diagnosis codes for billing. This template contains Assessments, Payer, Evaluation, Procedures, and Wound Care panels. Physical Therapy Configuration Options on Practice Configuration

The configuration in the PT section applies to the Physical Therapy specialty. PT section In the PT section, you can configure the following: If you select the Disable auto assignment of timed proc units checkbox, the system does not automatically add the timed procedure units to the Procedure panel on the PT Finalize template. Submit Superbill

You can submit diagnoses and their corresponding procedures codes ( CPT® codes) to the superbill. Each procedure should have at least one diagnosis. You can submit up to four diagnoses for each procedure. When you add diagnoses and corresponding procedures, the application automatically saves them to superbill. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open an appropriate Cardiology template, for example, Intake-Cardiology, and select an appropriate Visit Type. Do one of the following: From the navigation bar, click Submit Superbill. From the navigational links, click the Submit Superbill link. If the Rendering Physician and Referring Provider details have not been not displayed automatically, select the appropriate details. Click the Description field to search for and add a diagnosis in the Procedure Diagnosis List section. Note: You can add up to four diagnoses for each procedure. Calculate and Submit the CPT Codes for Transition of Care Visits

You can calculate and submit the CPT codes for the transition of care visits. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient and open an encounter. Select Specialty as Family Practice and Visit Type as Transition into Care. On the Intake template, select the Medications panel. Select the Medications Reconciled checkbox. Select the Finalize tab.The Finalize template opens. Evaluation and Management Coding panel on the Finalize template Under the Today's Assessment panel, add an assessment, if an assessment has not been added. Select the Evaluation and Management Coding panel.Notice that the Transition to Care Face to Face Visit checkbox is selected by default (even if it is not a face-to-face visit). This does not appear in any other place. In Medical Decision Making, select a complexity level. Enable Semi-Automatic Submission of CPT® II Codes

You can send the configured CPT II codes to CPT II Claims Based Measure Reporting on the Finalize template. You can enable the semi-automatic option to submit a configured CPT II code to the CPT II Claims Based Measure Reporting panel. Providers can review the code and assign a diagnosis code before submitting the code to the Superbill and Procedure modules. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Practice Configuration practice template. In the CPT II Code Auto-submission section, select the Assign diagnosis code to CPT II on Finalize option. Enter the CPT Codes for Transition of Care Visits

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient and open an encounter. On the Intake template, select an affected Specialty (Family Practice/Internal Medicine, Obstetrics or Pediatrics), and select Visit Type as Transition into Care. Select the Finalize tab.The Finalize template opens. In the Evaluation and Management Coding panel, select the second Value Code field.A list of service categories opens. Evaluation and Management Coding Select Care Management.A list of visit codes and descriptions opens. Select the visit code that represents the complexity and timing of care. Select OK.After returning to the Finalize template, the CPT code fills the second Visit Code field. Important: You must complete all the fields in the Transitioning Into Care or the Cm Care Transitions template before submitting the charges to the Superbill.
