Remove a Health Concern Goal

You can only remove a health concern goal from the encounter where the latest intervention or outcome was recorded. When you remove a goal, the system removes all associated interventions and outcomes. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the patient encounter where the latest intervention or outcome for the goal to be removed was recorded. Open to the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. Select the goal to be updated in the left grid.The system fills the fields to the right of the grid with the data from the selected record. Add a Patient Goal to Address a Health Concern

You can add multiple goals to a single health concern. To add multiple goals, repeat this procedure for each goal. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Expand the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. The Select a Health concern to document section appears with all previously added health concerns. Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel Select a health concern from the list. The information about the selected health concern goal fields appears on the right. Goal details on the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel In the Goal field, type a goal description to address the health concern, or use Common Phrases. Indicate if the goal is a patient goal or a provider goal. Verify that the life cycle status of the goal is set to Active. You can also change the status. Update a Goal Intervention

If no outcome has been entered, you can update all Intervention data fields for the current encounter. If an Outcome has been entered, you cannot update the Category field and the related data field. If updating interventions entered during earlier encounters, you may only be able to update some of the fields. You receive an alert to that effect. To update those fields, you must return to the earlier encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open to the Goals, Interventions and Outcomes panel. Select the goal you what to update an intervention. The system fills the fields to the right of the grid with the data from the selected record. Select the Intervention tab. The full Intervention tab appears with the previously entered interventions in the grid. Select the intervention to be updated. Make any necessary changes to the data fields. Select Update. Update or Remove a Health Concern

You can update or remove a health concern at any given time. If you remove a health concern, all the associated goals, interventions and outcomes are also removed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Expand the Add/Edit Health Concerns panel. From the bottom-right grid, select a health concern.The information for the health concern appears in the corresponding fields. Do one or more of the following: Modify the clinical status Modify the verification status Note: If you select the Entered-in-error verification status, the associated goals, interventions, and outcomes will be removed. Add or update comments To indicate that the health concern is resolved, select the Resolved clinical status and then enter the resolved date. Select Update. To remove a health concern, select the one to be removed.The system fills the fields above the grid with the data from the selected record. Update Therapy Goals

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Objective template, in the Goals panel, click the Add button to launch the Therapy Goals template. On the Therapy Goals template, highlight a row in the Added goals grid.The edit fields above the grid display details for the selected goal. Make any changes in enabled edit fields. Click Update.The Added goals grid displays the updated goal. Click Save & Close to return to the Objective template.The information appears in the Goals panel. Parent topic: Patient Goals

Update the Status of a Goal

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Objective template, highlight the goal in the Goals panel grid and click the Update button to launch the pt_goals_dtl template. Select an option to indicate Progress Toward Goal: Has met goal Has not met goal Has partially met goal Continues to progress toward goal Click Save. Click Close. Parent topic: Patient Goals
