NextGen® Enterprise EHR

On the
Objective
template, in the
Goals
panel, click the
Add
button to launch the
Therapy Goals
template.
On the
Therapy Goals
template, highlight a row in the
Added goals
grid.
The edit fields above the grid display details for the selected goal.
Make any changes in enabled edit fields.
Click
Update
.
The
Added goals
grid displays the updated goal.
Click
Save & Close
to return to the
Objective
template.
The information appears in the
Goals
panel.

Update the Status of a Goal
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Objective template, highlight the goal in the Goals panel grid and click the Update button to launch the pt_goals_dtl template. Select an option to indicate Progress Toward Goal: Has met goal Has not met goal Has partially met goal Continues to progress toward goal Click Save. Click Close. Parent topic: Patient Goals

Enter New Therapy Goals for the Patient
Therapy goals are based on information documented for the reason for visit, History of Present Illness (HPI), and physical exam for the patient. Preconfigured therapy goals configurations are packaged with the system. Clients can add customized goals and modify or remove existing ones. Goals can be added, updated or removed. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Objective template, on the Goals panel, click the Add button to launch the Therapy Goals template, which displays accumulated goals listed in the Available Goals grid. Therapy Goals Highlight a row in the Available Goals grid to select a goal. Click the Goal type field and select the type of goal from the picklist.The remaining fields display additional details for the goal. Click the Weeks field and select the number of weeks to reach the goal, if appropriate. Click Add.The Added goals grid displays the new goal. Click Save & Close to return to the Objective template. Remove a Goal
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Objective template, highlight the goal to be deleted in the Goals panel grid. Click Remove.The grid no longer displays the selected goal. Parent topic: Patient Goals

Patient Goals
The Goals panel displays the therapy goals documented by the provider on the Therapy Goals template. Any additions to the grid must be made on the Therapy Goals template. Update an Existing Goal
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the PT Goal Administration template, select the goal to be modified in the Saved available goals section.The details of the goal populate the fields in the Field Selection section above the grid. Open the Therapy Goal Template
You can add or update speech therapy goals on the Therapy Goal template. On the Speech Single Visit template, expand the Objective panel. Under the Goals grid, select Edit. The NTS Therapy Goals template opens. The Goals grid displays all goals entered for the patient.
