Sorting Items in the Care Guidelines Panel

You can sort items in the Care Guidelines panel for a patient encounter. You can sort items in ascending or descending order, alphabetically by Guideline, Next Due date, Status, or Last Completed date in the Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. Check Orders for Orderable Guideline Items

You can check the orders for orderable guideline item of a patient. You can check the orders you have placed in the Recent Orders panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Recent Orders panel. Select the View All Orders link or the category link specific to the orders you want to see. Select the Pending button. Display Specific Active Guideline Item for a Patient

You can filter display items for a specific guideline that is active for a patient. You can filter what appears in the Care Guidelines panel to display only those items that are part of a specific guideline which is active for the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Care Guidelines panel. To display only those item that is part of a specific guideline which is active for the patient, do one of the following: Select the link for guideline of interest in the left pane. Select the Show All link to display all guideline items active for the patient. The Care Guidelines panel refreshes to display only those items that are part of the selected guideline. Place Orders for Guideline Items

You can process the order placed for the care guidelines of the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link. The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Select a guideline item in the grid. Details for the guideline appears in the fields. You can order items with status due, such as labs and diagnostic studies. Select Order. The item's Status displays ordered. For records that previously display the status due, such as labs and diagnostics, the Action field displays the date ordered. Care Guidelines Note: Orders placed for labs and radiology diagnostic studies are processed and submitted to the Order module using the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template. Place an Order for an Orderable Guideline Item

You can place an order for an orderable guideline using the Care Guidelines panel. Orderable guideline items that are due, display the date in red font in the Next Due field. A yellow alert icon appears to the left of the date. The Status field appears as due. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Care Guidelines panel. Review orderable guideline items active for the patient. Items that are due or past due display the date in red font. Items that are due in the future display a date in black font. When you first activate a care guideline, items that are not due at a future date automatically display today’s date by default. To sort guideline items by next due date, you can select the active text Next Due column header. Select the checkbox to the left of the guideline items you want to order. View Care Guidelines

You can view a quick list of the patient's Care Guidelines for due and overdue items. Additionally, you can open the Care Guidelines module to manage Health Maintenance and Disease Management functions, including guideline testing and screening, and recommended care. For more information on Care Guidelines, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Care Guidelines User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view a quick list of the patient's Care Guidelines, on the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Care Guidelines Items Due.The Care Guidelines Items Due table appears displaying the last calculated date and a list of recently ordered Care Guidelines items for the patient that are due and overdue.
