Turn On Order Entry from Order Module

You can allow an order entry using the Order Module. If you have installed the Care Guidelines Standalone upgrade for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Practice Configuration template displays the Enable Order Module checkbox. Clients have the option for placing orders for lab and radiology guideline items directly from the Order module when they select the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section of the Practice Configuration template. Selecting the Enable Order Module setting configures the Care Guidelines Paged View template to launch the Order module whenever the checkbox for a guideline orderable item is selected. Users can then place orders for the guideline item from the Order module. After saving, the Order module closes and users return to their workflow on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. The status of the guideline item is updated to “ordered” and the date ordered displays below the Status field. Note: The Enable Order Module checkbox in the Orders

You can select the enable Order module setting on the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Practice Configuration practice template, in the Orders/Plans section, select the Enable Order Module checkbox. Select Save and Close. Setting Up to Place Orders Directly from the Order Module

You can set up the place orders for guideline of the patient from the Order module. You can directly place orders for lab and radiology guideline items from the Order module by selecting the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section of the Practice Configuration practice template. Selecting the Enable Order Module setting configures the Care Guidelines Paged View template to open the Order module whenever the checkbox for a guideline orderable item is selected. You can then place orders for the guideline item from the Order module. When you save the changes, the Order module closes and returns to the workflow on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. The status of the guideline item is updated to ordered and the date ordered displays below the Status field. Submit OB Problems to the Problems Module

You can turn on the Add to Problems Module checkbox for the OB Problem Add template. The Enable Add to Problems Module option allows providers to submit an OB problem to the Problems module. Set Up Orders Module Practice Preferences

Open File Maintenance and select System > Practices. Double-click a pratice. In the Modify Practice Information window, select Preferences and then select the Orders Module. There are several check boxes to set preferences for printing, the use of the NextGen Compendium, and other settings. There are additional preferences associated with the Orders module that can be set for your practice.
