Copy the Current Configurations

You can copy the current configurations to another specialty, practice, or provider using the copy button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content template. To copy your preferences on the Framework Content system template, select the Specialty, Practice, or Provider. In the Copy To section, enter any or all of the following: Specialty Practice Provider Copy To option To duplicate the setup preferences, select the Copy button.The template refreshes with the selected preferences for the specialty, practice, or provider. Open the Framework Content Template

You can open the Framework Content system template from the System \ Practice Template tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. Select All. Select a Specialty, Practice, and Provider

To update the My Plan template layout, you must first select a specialty, practice, and provider on the Framework Content system template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. To modify a specialty, practice, or provider, do one of the following: To update the specialty, select a specialty. To update the practice, select a specialty and a practice. To update the provider, select a specialty, a practice, and a provider. The configuration of the selected specialty, practice, and provider appears in all the sections of the Framework Content system template. Configure the Medical and Family History

You can configure the windows that open on adding a medical or family history on the Medical/Surgical/Interim panel and the Family panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Medical/Surgical/Interim panel. In the Medical History Popup list, select a template. In the Family History Popup list, select a template. Update Specialty-Specific My Plan Grids

You can update a specialty-specific My Plan grid using the Assessment/Plan Navigation configuration panel. You can also update the captions, templates, and sequence of the tabs. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel.The default configuration for the selected specialty appears in the specialty grid. In the Specialty grid, select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template. To select a different row, select Clear.You can update the caption, template name, and sort order of the items. Configure the Framework Template Tabs

You can configure the framework template tabs from the Tabs section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Tabs and Subnavigation panel. In the Tabs section, to select a visit type from the list, and select the Visit Type field.The Visit Type is based on the specialty that you select. The list includes only those visit types for which you have not configured the tabs. If the visit type is not in the list, select the visit type in the grid. Each visit type is configured to a range of Current Procedural Terminology ( CPT® ) codes which are used to calculate the Evaluation and Management (E&M) code on the Finalize template. Note: The Finalize template in Cardiology and Ophthalmology specialties calculates the codes differently, so you cannot add visit types for these specialties through this process.
