Document Recommended Care Items

You can add a recommended care items as condition to the patient's guideline using the Recommended Care practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK. The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Manage Groups and Optons panel and then select the Recommended Care link.The Recommended Care practice template opens. Enter the Condition, Type, and Recommended Care details. Add the Goals, Statuses, and Compliance details for the recommended care item. Select Add.The Recommended Care grid displays the new entry. Setting Up Recommended Care Guideline Items

You can set up the recommended care guideline item using the Recommended Care practice template. After you have reviewed the custom DB picklists used by recommended care guidelines for content, recommended care guidelines themselves should be reviewed. Recommended care guideline items are reviewed and maintained on the Recommended Care practice template. View a Recommended Care Item and All of Its Elements

You can view a recommended care item and all its elements using the Recommended Care practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel and select the Recommended Care link.The Recommended Care practice template opens. Modify an Existing Recommended Care Item

You can modify an existing recommended care item using the Recommended Care practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel and then select the Recommended Care link.The Recommended Care practice template opens. Select the guideline in the Recommended Care grid.The Attributes/Feedback link appears. Select the Attributes/Feedback link.The Attributes View and Management window opens. Enter or modify the attributes, add feedback, and then select OK. Add or delete the items you want in the Goals, Status, and Compliance. Select Update. Remove an Existing Recommended Care Item

You can remove an existing recommended care item using the Recommended Care practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel and select the Recommended Care link.The Recommended Care practice template opens. Select the guideline in the Recommended Care grid.The selected row displays its details in the edit fields above the Recommended Care grid, including: condition, type of recommendation, the recommended care item, and its reference information. The Goals, Status, and Compliance grids display the values that are configured for the selected recommended care item.
