Dermatology Home Page Template

The practice can customize the panels displayed on the Home Page - Dermatology template. The following table describes the panels on the template. Panel Description Skin Cancer Log Displays the patient's details related to skin cancer. Skin Cancer Log has the following grids. Treatment History Staging You can click Add in the Treatment History grid to open the Skin Cancer History Log - Derm template. You can add the pathology results that indicate the presence of skin cancer on the Skin Cancer History Log - Derm template. The pathology results are available on the Pathology Results template. You can open the Pathology Results template using Path Results in the navigation bar. You can click the Add button in the Staging grid to open the Cancer Type template. Provider Workflow

The provider workflow includes the following: Reviewing and updating the data documented by the intake staff during the patient encounter and providing any additional information. Documenting the problems and various physical examination findings. Documenting the performed procedures. Documenting the treatment plan. Documenting Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes. Review of Dermatology Details by Providers You can start the visit by reviewing the patient information documented during the previous encounters. Dermatology Home Page Template You can review the historical information of the patient on the Home Page - Dermatology template. Overview of the GET Template You can use GET template instead of SOAP. Documenting SOAP Information You can review and modify the patient’s reasons for visit, review of systems, and vital signs documented by the intake staff on the SOAP template. Review of Dermatology Details by Intake Staff

The intake staff begins the current encounter on the Intake template. They can review the patient details documented during the previous encounters on the Home Page - Dermatology template. The Home Page - Dermatology template displays the information documented by the intake staff on the Intake and Histories templates for the provider's review. Patient's Communication Details Review by Provider

You can view the details of communication between a practice and a patient using the Communication panel. The details of the communication are documented in the Telephone Call or Telephone Communication template. The badge count in the panel header provides the number of open items in the communication queue. The Filter field at the beginning of the grid allows the provider to filter the communication details based on the status. You can select the category from the left pane to filter and review the items by category. The numbers beside the items in the left pane indicate the number of items in the queue. Buttons in Communication Panel You can find the buttons and checkboxes for documenting patient details in the Communication panel. Access Dermatology

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient or create a patient encounter. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates. On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Home Page - Dermatology, and then click OK.The Home Page Dermatology template opens. To review the page, select the Visit Type. From the navigation bar at the top of the Home Page - Dermatology template, you can access the Dermatology framework templates like Intake, Histories, GET, SOAP, Finalize, and Checkout. Skin Cancer History Log

Click the Add button under the Treatment History grid to open the Skin Cancer History Log - Derm template. Click the Add button under the Staging grid to open the Cancer Type template. Information can be added to the Skin Cancer History Log panel using the Pathology Results template. Click the Path Results in the navigation bar to open the Pathology Results template.
