Review Medications Electronically
You can electronically review the medications details that are taken by a patient for adherence to the prescribed medicines.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
 - Open the Intake template.
 - Open the Medications Review template.
 - In Reconciliation Type, select Electronic Reconciliation. 
   The Clinical Reconciliation module opens.
 - On the Import tab, select the  Surescripts®  medication history file. 
   Note: You must document the patient consent in the Medication module before importing a Surescripts® medication history file.
 - Document the name of the person who confirmed the medication list.
 - Perform reconciliation between the medications in the EHR panel and the  Surescripts®  file medications.
   Note: You can also complete the reconciliation from the Medication module using the Medical History and Reconcile buttons. This does not require Consolidated-Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA).
 - Select Confirm. 
   The Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) interactions appear.
 - Select Close. 
   The Medication List in the Medication Review panel displays any updates or additions.
 - In the Medication Review panel on the Medication Review template, do the following:
   
- Document the patient adherence, if necessary.
 - After completing the electronic medication review, to document the patient's status, select the Transitioning into care checkbox.
 - To indicate the receipt of the document, select the Summary of care received checkbox in the Medication Module panel.
 - Select OK.
 - In the Medications panel, select the Medications reconciled checkbox.
