Remove Reasons for Visits

You can remove a reason for visit for a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, expand the Reason for Visit panel. Select the Additional / Manage link on the left pane. The Reason for Visit window opens. Select Clear corresponding to the applicable reason for visit field. Select Save & Close. Parent topic: Reasons for Visit of Patients

Remove a Diagnostic Study from Reason

You can remove the studies reviewed record from the Reason for Visit panel using the History Summary panel. You can remove diagnostic studies from the Reason for Visit panel using the History Summary panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the History Summary panel, select Diagnostic. Select Add/Edit. The Diagnostic History Entry template opens. Select a diagnostic study that is previously added to the Reason for Visit panel. The Remove from HPI Grid button is enabled. Select Remove from HPI Grid. The Studies Reviewed row no longer appears on the Reason for Visit panel. Note: Removing the record from the Reason for Visit panel does not remove it from the grids on the Diagnostic History Entry template or the History Summary panel. Remove Diagnostic Studies from Reasons for Visit

You can remove the diagnostic studies if they are not applicable for the current encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake or SOAP template, and then expand the Reason for Visit section. Select the row containing the Studies Reviewed record, and then select Remove. Note: When you remove a record from the Reason for Visit section, the record is not removed from the grid on the Diagnostic History Entry template or the History Summary section. Document Diagnostic Study Results

You can document the diagnostics study results on the Diagnostic History Entry template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Diagnostic History Entry template, do one of the following. On the Histories template, expand the Diagnostic Studies panel, and select Add. In the History Summary panel on the Intake template, select Diagnostic, and select Add/Edit. Select a diagnostic study from the grid. In the Study Result section, select Interpretation and select a status. In Result, enter a brief synopsis or interpretation of the result. In Comments, enter your comments or use the My Phrases link. Select Add to HPI Grid. The selected diagnostic study is added to the Reason for Visit panel as Studies Reviewed. Note: The Add to HPI Grid button is enabled only if the selected study is created in the current encounter and has a documented Result or Interpretation. Select OK. Manage Historical Diagnostic Study

When you modify a historical diagnostics study on the Diagnostic History Entry template, the application automatically updates the corresponding studies reviewed record in the Reason for Visit panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Diagnostic History Entry template, in the History Summary panel, select Diagnostic, and select Add/Edit. To update the historical diagnostic study, do the following: On the Diagnostic History Entry template, select a historical diagnostic study that need to be updated from the grid. Update the Interpretation and / or Result as needed. Select Update. The record is updated. If the record is previously added to the Reason for Visit panel, the corresponding record in also updated in the Reason for Visit panel. Close the template. To delete a historical diagnostic study, do the following: On the Diagnostic History Entry template, select a historical diagnostic study that need to be deleted from the grid. Select Delete. Remove a Studies Reviewed on SOAP Template

You can remove the historical diagnostic studies that are added to the history of patient illness in the Studies Reviewed section on the SOAP template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In the Reason for Visit panel, select the historical diagnostic study item with the Studies Reviewed label in the Reason for Visit grid. Select Remove.
