Document Diagnostic Study Results

You can document the diagnostics study results on the Diagnostic History Entry template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. To open the Diagnostic History Entry template, do one of the following.
   • On the Histories template, expand the Diagnostic Studies panel, and select Add.
   • In the History Summary panel on the Intake template, select Diagnostic, and select Add/Edit.
3. Select a diagnostic study from the grid.
4. In the Study Result section, select Interpretation and select a status.
5. In Result, enter a brief synopsis or interpretation of the result.
6. In Comments, enter your comments or use the My Phrases link.
7. Select Add to HPI Grid.
   The selected diagnostic study is added to the Reason for Visit panel as Studies Reviewed.

   Note: The Add to HPI Grid button is enabled only if the selected study is created in the current encounter and has a documented Result or Interpretation.
8. Select OK.
